Crys, your wash and go is gorgeous. My 4A/3C hair is medium porosity and low to medium density. My go-to styles are wash and gos and finger coils. I don't do my wash and gos in the shower but I ensure that my hair is dripping wet when I apply my leave-in and curling cream (no gel). My curls are very defined and I embrace my shrinkage because it gives my low to medium density hair the appearance of volume. My unstretched defined curls last 2 weeks without refreshing. I wear a bonnet and just fluff my hair in the mornings. I always shingle and like you, I also have the troublesome hair at the front which I have to give an extra twirl to get it to curl. Keep the great content coming.

Your intro always get me hyped! 💃🏾💃🏾your results turned out really beautiful. When I stretch my hair with the blow dryer it tends to shrink up as if I haven’t touched it. Maybe I’m not applying the heat long enough. Imma have to play around with it and see. I’ve been wanting to try the blueberry bliss line but didn’t know that had different gels cause I’ve tried other lightweight gels and my type 4 coils laugh hysterically at those products. I’ve noticed if I use a hard gel, my hair is crunchy afterwards but I prep my hair with a heavy leave in and style cream(taliah waajid) and then the gel. But once I stretch it, the crunch is gone. The only thing about hard gels is no matter what, once the gel cast is broken, there will be flakes. Not visible on the hair but when I get to picking it out as days follows the flakes will be visible on my shirt.

Okayyy wash n go!! It came out so bomb 🔥😍 I’m a twist out girl too, but I’ve been wanting to try a wash n go WITHOUT the hardness from gel. I’ve seen Miss Lauren Leigh try the lusters curl activator and eco for a wash n go and it came out bomb. I would love to see how it works for you since we have similar texture before i try it !!!

Love the wash ago, I’m a twist out pro only mastered a wash n go with perfection once and that was with the mane choice 24 karat and extreme gel. Still searching for other products that might work on my low porosity 3b/3c hair. But will definitely try to do it in the shower.

Hi @curliecrys love your videos! Completely a wash n go girl with super thick type 4 hair here. I Actually found your channel when I was thinking of trying a twist out for the first time to see if my curl pattern would look any different. I did it after watching your videos and it came out great but my hair shrunk up only hours after being out so a twist out issa no for me b/c I ain't really trynna have to do my hair. I get bomb definition thats lasts 10-14 days with my wash n goes and dont have to do anything everyday except scrunch in a little oil and light fluff at the roots. Ready to go in 1 min. Will keep watching your videos though cause your personality is awesome! A couple tips if you're going to try more wash n go's to protect your lovely curls: 1) don't use heat to stretch as that over time can mess with your curl pattern/cause heat damage depending on how sensitive your hair is. Just use your scrunchies to band it like u do overnight on day 1 and you'll get the same affect. 2) best drying tip for longevity is to dry under a hooded dryer under very low heat/cool again to protect your curl pattern, or just do it in the morning and let it air dry all day. Using either method the roots may still be wet at night time and can just use the blow dryer with the nozzle concentrator on cool to dry real quick.

Have you tried the s-curl gel and conditioner on your hair? And how did you like it? I did my 2 strand twist with them and I declare it stayed shiny and moist the entire time. Looked wet. What’s your thoughts

I really like it and the stretch that u got outta that was 👌🏽I wondered how to get my hair to stretch after it's dry and now I've got it. I'm gonna try that tomorrow to see how it works...I was always afraid of the "frizz" I was gonna get by doing this and u didn't have any. Shrinkage is real! Love the final results! 👌🙌🏽😉

This is a good idea, I’m gonna have to start doing my hair in the shower so I can easily get warm water, low porosity hair is a struggle sometimes

when you stretch your hair, do you find you lose the elasticity in your curls?

Did you allow your hair to air dry completely or did you sit under the drier at all or diffuse??

I just cowashed my hair on Monday but it’s flaking so I just washed my hair again with the Mielle Rosemary Mint shampoo and I am sitting here with the deep conditioner from the same line. I think I’m just gonna twist my hair up and leave it alone. I mostly do wash and goes so sis I was loving this. I think like anything else you have to train your hair to do what you want it to do. The more you do it the better it becomes. Last year I perfected it. Three years natural. I liked it but I think that you should try the stronger hold gel as well. I normally wash my hair once a week. All I do at night is put my hair up in a satin scarf or large satin bonnet and shake it out the next day. If I need a little help with it falling back down I might spritz a little water or I prefer using the Mane Choice tropical moringa restorative spray or the spritz by Camille Rose (the purple one, lavender something). I shake it out and my hair melts into place and I only have to use it once, not every day. It moisturizes my hair and I am good to go. Using a good moisturizer helps, just make sure they mix well together.
