Thank you, I was used to using the bigger ones and don't even think of how to cook the rice, I was baffled by measurements for this one. I didn't even see the lines in there until you showed it. So i'm grateful and a little embarrassed, but now I can make rice in this little trinket.

It holds one real measuring cup of dry rice. A tiny bit more can be added though.

Always remember to dry off the bottom of the pot. It'll damage the heating element.

For this kind of rice cooker, if your cooking 1 cup, full the water line just barely above the 1- line inside the cooker, same goes for 2 cups. Then once it finishes cooking, it'll pop up to warm, I usually leave mine sitting in the rice cooker for about 10 minutes on warm. It comes out perfect everytime. I also rinse my rice like 4 to 5 times. Make sure the rice water is clear, otherwise your rice will be mushy as mentioned in a previous comment. Have a happy rice life everyone 😁

I bought this for my son in college. The rice cooker made it hoe, but the measuring cup that comes with it did not. Does the cup measure 1 cup or 1/2 a cup? Thank you...

I put one real measuring cup of rice in mine. A little more will fit though. It`s a one cup rice cooker actually...one real cup. Works great with the small 300w solar power stations for camping or power outages. Conserve battery by unplugging and covering with a towel when the rice is almost done and let the heat finish it.

I am saving this I have a rice 🍚 cooker.... but I thick I am doing it wrong, because mys comes out muchy all most like morning ottmile

Make sure you rinse your rice 4 to 5 times or 6 until the rice water becomes clear, otherwise your rice will come out mushy. Take care 😁

I would have liked to have seen the rice after it was cooked.

2 cups of water to 1 cup of rice bring to a boil in a stainless steel pot , as soon as boiling reduce heat to a simmer Add rice cover and leave alone for 15 minutes, stir and let simmer to desired doneness.

That's how to make disgusting rice. No rice should be cooked 2:1. 1.25:1 works with nearly all white rice.

@@maxotterland sorry, but your wrong, it is a must to have 2 cups of water to every cup of Rice.rice expands also so it doubles in size so common sense tell's you , when the rice absorbs the water and expands it makes 2 cups of rice, use your brain.

@@skismosis Every fucking bag of Asian rice on the planet says 1.25:1. 2:1 is an American convention and it results in heinous rice.

LMAO, i have never rinsed my rice and i am still alive and well, at 65 years old, quit wasting your time, you are rinsing the nutrients away, LOL
