the times in spookslot being 12pm is a nof to it being a haunted house. and the pandadroom used to a 3d cinema showing a film amde by the wwf on how people mess up the enviroment so that clock is liekly a nod to it being 5 minute to 12 on the doomsday clock.
Love this! I’ve went so many times to the Efteling but never stayed in the hotel because I live like 10 minutes away. The red shoes you’ve found in the closet are from a fairytale called: ‘de rode schoentjes’. In English: ‘the red shoes’. It’s about a girl that has enchanted shoes that never stop dancing. It is the first fairytale when you enter the fairytale forest at the entrance. The blue and white tiles in the bathroom are typical Dutch. When people hear a phrase that is useful or funny, we wright them on tiles and hang them somewhere. It’s kinda old. You can buy those tiles in some shops. The tiles you see in the bathroom are written in old Dutch.

I realize I am kinda off topic but do anybody know a good website to stream newly released movies online?
Awesome vlog! The plushie of the blonde princess with the pink dress is Eftelings version of Cinderella 😉. She and some of the others are also characters in a childrens tv-show of Efteling called Sprookjesboom (Fairytaletree).

Ahh Cinderella, makes sense! thank you!
That hanger says: de nieuwe kleren van de keizer. Which is the Dutch name of a fairytale (according to Google it's called The Emperor's new clothes in English) :)
Hi Sam, loving the Efteling vlogs... to anser your question about the writing on the hanger( no sure if someone answered)its says" De nieuwve kleren van de keizer" it translates to the "emperor's new clothes " growing up in the late 70's and 80's, this was a big favourite folktale about a vain emperor. Turns out his new clothes was invisible, but he was actually naked. so i absolutely love the fact that they placed that line on the hanger... take care, greetings from Cape Town South Africa
Lovely to see the hotel! It looks very well themed. And the food looks good too. As for the sprinkles, we usually eat them on a sandwich and we put some butter on the sandwich so the sprinkles stick to the bread better🤣 so first butter and then sprinkles. I think the little ruby slippers in the cupboard are actually from a fairy tale that can be found in the enchanted Forrest of the Efteling! The cupboard with the blow dryer basically says it has a blow dryer (föhn is Dutch for blow dryer). As the little tiles have sayings with bathroom rules. such as when you’re done on the toilet wash your hands, leave everything for later and enjoy the hot water etc. And love the little dots of mayo on the burger. Just like a red mushroom!

Ahh wow thanks so much for informing me about the sprinkles situation! Will have to try them properly in a sandwich next time! :) And I love all the written details in the room, thank you for translating x
Pandadroom used to be the 4D movie sponsored by the WWF, so that clock being at 5 to 12 is getting kinda deep. They replaced the movie now with Fabula after the sponsorship stopped, but good to see the message is still there in some way
The big bad wolf is a fan favourite he's the best character
Nice video, I hope to stay there sometime. The room is bigger than I would expect. There are multiple boots in the area around Efteling. They point the way to go to get to Efteling. The book you pointed at was not Dutch, but German. The ones on the top are Dutch. The bracelet is to write a parents phone number on. When the child gets lost, people can call the parents. The random princess is Cinderella. The text on the hanger means "The emperor's new clothes", which references the fairytale. The red shoes reference the fairytale "The red shoes". You can find both in the Fairytale Forest. The writing on the table is written in a way you can only read it from the mirror. I guess it is something about Snow White, it starts with "Mirror mirror".
What a fantastic room! I've not stayed in the Efteling hotel for years now (missed our Eurovision/Efteling trip this May sadly, but there is next year!). But one time, my mum decided we should try one of the suites as they are super themed. We stayed in the Carousel suite. When you put the keycard in a slot carousel music played! The room was insane! If you get chance, have a browse on the Efteling hotel website and check out the pics of the suites as the themeing is madness! Honestly, it was light sleeping in a carousel! The thing with feet printed on in the bathroom is a step for kids to reach the sink; pull it down and they can stand on it to get to the sink. At the reception desk you may have spotted they have little steps so kids can be at the right height for the desk too :)

So interesting! I’ve never seen the inside of the hotel!
Ok; Caption: the little red slippers is a fairytale in the fairytale forest. The tekst on the desk says: Mirror, mirror on the wall what happends in the country? No fairytale or truth will elude you, if you quickly grab the remotcontrol. :P Its a little poem in dutch but in English it just sucks bigtime. And under the sink it says: When the sink is to high for you, open this door. And it makes a little step up for kids. On the little door it saus: Ladies and gentleman; Here is where you can blowdry and shave. On the tiles just some bathing rules in old dutch. The man with the sleeping hat is KlaasVaak. He's the one that blows sleeping sand in your eyes that makes you go to sleep. The Beer you had in the bottle was made only for the Efteling. The fans could shout out names and Efteling picked that one. Hope you had fun in the Efteling and hope to see more vlogs about the efteling when you return

Oh and the hanger that said: Nieuwe kleren van de keizer. New clothing of the emperor. Its a fairytale about a emperor that met new desingers for his clothes. They ''made'' clothes for the emperor but the emperor saw none. Cause the designers said that only the very smart could see the clothes. So the emperor believed that and decided to show his new clothes to his people. But the emperor paraded naked in his country and everyone laughed at him. And when he wanted to have the makers arrested, they fled the country never to be seen again. So that's why there is an empty hanger ;)
Soooo first of all let me tell you I'm super glad you've finally visited the Efteling! I absolutely loved the park vlog (and this too), you have no idea how long I've waited to see you react to the beautiful and mystical weirdness of that incredible place I really hope I'll be able to visit again soon. Next one has got to be Gardaland (with possible stay at one of its three luxury hotels)! I promise you'll get a kick out of both the park and the hotels resort!

“Just catching up on my saturated fats for the day” 😂😂😂 Marie seems like such a legend 🙏🏻😅❤️🙏🏻😅❤️ and glad to see u guys had a wonderful time. I’m Swedish but I (mainly) grew up in Germany - VERY close to the Dutch-German border (30mins in the car) so I’ve been to Efteling many a times.. great memories .. and these vlogs make me so so happy, thank you so so much 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️ But I honestly cannot believe they had no “Stroop” (for ur breakfast pancakes)??? That should be a capital crime if not high treason on part of the hotel, considering it’s in the Netherlands?? 🙃

Hahaha, okay. In the bathroom, those 'quotes' are 'rules for taking baths. I'm sorry, letting it rhyme in English is hard, but I will try to make it rhyme in English too, to make it funny haha: Delay everything else to later in life First take in this warm water a dive Who doesn't avoid taking a bath Will certainly get wet Allowed to use soap in water sploshing For armpits, toes to freshness washing Is it time to say the bath goodbye Time has come for you to dry Help eachother tons By drying eachothers buns Don't forget after using the toilet box, Wash both of your buttrocks
that dutch book was german, said das efteling :)

The shoes are a part of a g a me you can find in the room. At a surten point you have to look for them either under the bed or in the closet.
de hanger says: De nieuwe kleren van de keijzer translated to english it is about the fairytale: The new emperor`s clothes
Pardoes en Pardijntje (I think, not sure). I've never been to the hotel so it's very cool to see it. I'll have to give it a try some time. 'De nieuwe kleren van de keizer' is in English 'The emperor's new clothes. It's a fairytale written by Hans Christian Andersen.

Hello there Sam, just seen your eftelling hotel vlog as me and my wife will be going to eftelling for our 1st European theme park trip every and your hotel video is really helpful and informative, just watching your 1hour 45 minutes eftelling vlog now, really hilarious 😂 and i have hit the like button and also subscribed to your channel brilliant work 👍 David and Carolyn from Thrill Seeks
You where recommended to me with The Efteling video's, Dutch myself so a Efteling fan. Glad i found you! Love the video's keep it up❤
Here in the Netherlands the streets have even numbers on one side and then the street across it has uneven numbers. So in the hotel if I am right the door straight ahead of your door will be 203 or 205.
Hi, the shoes and mouse are part of the game on the coffee table and are in every room. 🙃
i didnt seen the 4D movie show fabula did u missed? so maybe for the next time? ^^
Don´t know if this is already said, but next time if you go to the efteling (and hotel), please book a themed suite. Everything is so freaking nice in there. And if you don't want to, look it up. Your mouth will fall open :) xx Ex-efteling-employee
Hi, Flemish person here. Belgian neighbour of the Netherlands. @14:26 it says " the emperor's new clothes" wich is a reference to a fairytale you also see in the park's fairy tale forest.
At 22:29: "is the sink too high for you, open this cupboard quickly" (the text in Dutch is actually rhyming) Because the cupboard can when opened be used as a pedestal.
there was something in Dutch on the coat rack. And I happen to be Dutch too (use google translate because I'm not good at writing english words). But so on the coat rack it said: The emperor's new clothes. Besides, I really like your vlogs.
The red shoes are part of a fairytale 😉
14:27 this means: the emperor’s new clothes
The number thing is normal in the Netherland the uneven are on the other site
the red slippers in the closet are the ones from a fairytale in the fairytale forest the girl who wore those shoes would automatically dance every time there was music playing and couldnt stop dancing until there was no music playing. since you missed the fairytale this is the main plot of the story
The guy at 14:34 is called Klaas Vaak. In the Netherlands kids are told that Klaas Vaak will come to get them to sleep by putting sand dust in their eyes. It's the Dutch version of the Sandman.
The sentences on the table are mirrored. If you want to read it, you have to look through the mirror to read it.
The generic princess is Cinderella! ;-)
You are soooo cute and so lost. Good thing you had 2 days, in the end you found most cool rides and attractions, but why wasnt Villa Volta included in both of your top 5? It was so fun to watch your confusion, you guys are really sweet.
Are there any corona measures?
So cute!
cool video
At 22:44: "ladies and gentlemen, here you can dry your hair or shave"
Hey thanks for this awesome video. I loved it so much! Can you maybe tell how much euro is cost for you both to stay there? ❤️

Depends on the season but you can get great last minute deals sometimes, just check the website, it's in English too. The tickets to the park are already included in the price, and breakfast too usually.
About Dutch & German... Along with English they are the three main languages of Germanic. Other languages are Norwegian, Swedish and obviously Danish. I say obviously, 'cause Germanic sort of started in Denmark. Vikings. Yada yada.... Yeah, you can devote an entire study about this. I do know Danish find Dutch a lot like Danish. So yeah...
Pardoes is also is a seldom used Dutch word, a synonym for 'plotseling', most used or 'halsoverkop' - again seldom used. All meaning 'Suddenly'. Your new favourtie guy's name is Pardoes, but it means Suddenly. And I think I even knew this when I was about 8 years old when I first visited the park. Or the first time I can remember... Anyhow, knowing your language as achild makes the name a bit... Akward.
IS THE THEME PARK WALKING DISTANCE FROM THE HOTEL?

The big hanger with: 'De Nieuwe Kleren Van De Keizer' (The new clothes of the emperor) is a hilarious fairy tale: Two swindlers arrive at the capital city of an emperor who spends lavishly on clothing at the expense of state matters. Posing as weavers, they offer to supply him with magnificent clothes that are invisible to those who are stupid or incompetent. The emperor hires them, and they set up looms and go to work. A succession of officials, and then the emperor himself, visit them to check their progress. Each sees that the looms are empty but pretends otherwise to avoid being thought a fool. Finally, the weavers report that the emperor's suit is finished. They mime dressing him and he sets off in a procession before the whole city. The townsfolk uncomfortably go along with the pretense, not wanting to appear inept or stupid, until a child blurts out that the emperor is wearing nothing at all. The people then realize that everyone has been fooled. Although startled, the emperor continues the procession, walking more proudly than ever.
Nice video, good info. You are very cute!
You did Not do a haul in your vlog 😜. Still waiting for it. 😊
It means: the new clothes from the king de nieuwe kleren van de keizer
That Efteling fairytale book was German, not dutch 😂
