The second round of Cable Hill beatdowns was awesome. After these guys got to make there first pass they felt a lot better about the hill and they were definitely fully committed. This is the first time ever that Southern Rock Racing Series has ran the same hill twice and it worked out pretty good.

This is all for the show. It is safe to assume that these drivers are conscious that revving high and do tire burnouts is not the most efficient way to get up the hill, but the show is what counts.

they slide down if they dont, and those engines normally aren't made for low end torque but maybe I'm wrong

Jesse Mills it doesnt really have to do with torque when you wont let your tires get any grip. its like smashing the throttle in a light car with too much power. your gonna sit and burn rubber for days if you dont let your tires grip up.

After several climbs some competitors make it harder to climb cuz they keep burning out nonstop on the rocks till those rocks become so smooth like a metal make it hard to get grip (almost seeing the jurassic fossils underneath those rocks) 😅
They washed all the water onto the rocks. Unfair playing field 😂

I'm not very well versed in the 4x4 equipment and design. I don't get the point of the brake disc being located up by the diff instead of being out by the wheels. Is it to keep it out of the mud? Is it to reduce the load in the axle when they hit the brakes at high RPM? Is it to mount the wheels closer to the hub to make it more durable?
@MadRam11
7 жыл бұрын
It's called a 2.5 ton axle, and its cheaper and easier to put the brake on the pinion that out at the hubs like a normal axle.
just curious about the transmission on these. is it a manual? it would make sense to be a manual, but who knows
@MadRam11

they are automatic transmission that you can shift manually
just wondering, if they decrease the air pressure on the tires, would the traction between tires and the rock increased ? sry for my bad english
