Whether Gaza or the West Bank: It was never about freeing the hostages, it was never about Hamas, it was always only about expanding the occupied territories and the associated ethnic cleansing and genocide. Israel has been pursuing this program since the NAKBA 1947-49, when 700,000 Palestinians were expelled from their homes and 50,000 were killed. It requires the intervention of all forces to stop this injustice. Netanyahu, Smotrich and Ben-Gvir belongs to prison and before that ICC.

There is too much vitriol on both sides not to take revenge on one another. Unfortunately, the Netanyahu trajectory, which is the legitimately elected route of the citizens of Israel, is the only practical solution that will subdue the Palestinians enough to keep quiet. Keep quiet, but never make peace. Only divine intervention can grant peace. It is a sad, horrifying, and scary reality that we live in. No life in Israel / Palestine will ever feel or be safe under this model. The Chuck Schumer vision for peace is wishful thinking completely divorced from reality.
