[Full Speech] 'Out-Of-School Children In North Is Unacceptable,' Tinubu Tells Arewa Leaders

President Bola Tinubu has decried the number of out-of-school children in the North, describing it as unacceptable.
Tinubu, who received the leadership of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday, also decried the poverty situation in the region, calling for collaboration to address the situation.
“The question of out-of-school children is unacceptable. Education is a tool against poverty, and that is what brought many of us here. We must use our education to serve the people and improve their conditions. We must develop the backbone of Nigeria’s economy, which is the education system. We will collaborate with you on this intensively,” a statement by presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, quoted Tinubu as saying.

Local Government Areas are shadows of themselves. There's nothing wrong in me affirming the remark of the president that attention should be given to local areas. Revenue sharing formula is Fed. Govt 52% States 26% Local Government Areas 20%. Where's the money from states and local Government Areas. What are the governors using it for? Be polite bro...State your position. Mr. President, you're doing well, God Almighty gives you more energy to do and put the right things in place for Nigerians to be happy. The old anthem is coming at the wrong time in my opinion however it could be a pointer to your positive up coming long awaited transformation for Nigerians. My best advice to make Nigeria progress and to be free from insecurity: - Make politicians like you and others receive less salary and allowance, make politics less attractive and take care of the citizens. Make policies that will affect Nigerians positively with consistency. If we suffer too much, one day will come, the citizens will want to survive to live and there would be chaos - Let there be a strictly followed quarterly, yearly and biennial plans on all facet of the economy, let's work quickly on short term plans but followup on the quadrennial and decade long plans. The short term plans should be geared towards making standard of living fantastic for your citizens. Let's be happy. Let there be justice for every evil done in the land to serve as deterrent to others. Granting autonomy to every state house of assembly and judiciary is a good way to start. God bless Nigeria, God bless our President. Justice for Mohbad!

You must not be together in a place where human life is abused. Life is so precious, no life should be wasted for the sake of remaining one Nigeria. I love Nigeria, but my love for the sanctity of life is non-negotiable. Our leaders should should stop playing politics with precious gifts of life, rather, learn to humbly ask for WISDOM and turn to God In true repentance for God to help them deliver good governance to the people. God help us.

I am impressed!! Didn't vote for him! But he is Nigeria's president at this time!! He has earned my support!!! Free the local governments! More pressure on state governments to do more. No to open grazing!!! More investments in gas in Nigeria! Poverty levels in the north unacceptable! Illiteracy in the north is a direct link to banditry and kidnapping! BatMan is on point!! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!!

Many pray that God will help you to succeed. Your Excellency, Nigerians are suffering and dying more today than the years before. If the resourctation of the economy is meant to make Nigerians feel better, it will be undesirable if Nigerians will not be alive to experience it🤔 Education for all in the North can be achieved if you involve the notable advocates such as HRH. Mohammad Sanusi and the likes of him otherwise the Northern Elite will frustrate you. You don't the much of a challenge in other parts of the country! Please walk your talk😳 that speaks louder!

The most annoying thing in this video is people clapping even before a phrase is finished. Is it illiteracy or something else? Normally, one claps at the end of a speech, and when that speech is excellent or overwhelming, one gives a standing ovation. Here, everything is watered down.
