WOW Looks amazing!

Tried this smartdrive Max2, first in our large underground carpark and was rapt. It was beautiful. Then borrowed one for a day to take to the street - and had it conk out on every hill I tackled! Turns out it will only work uphill if you weigh less than 70 kg. Would be nice if they made this clear in their specifications.

Would like to see it going uphill and downhill along with on the grass without an extra wheel in front

it doesnt work like this anymore.

I've tested Alberta E Motion Wheels and this and for me E Motion is the way to go for several reasons. The main one is their is no assist when going down hills with the smart drive

E Motion wheels, no good. Try using it in the rain,, Unlike the smart drive, you can't use E motion wheels in the rain. I used my smart drive in pouring down rain to get to my car, and guess what,, It works fine still to this day!!! with E motion wheels you can't use them in rain, that is no good. I hate the way the wheel looks, and it does not work as good as a Smart Drive, If you need to get somewhere fast, a smart drive will get you there. Leaving the E motion wheels behind!!!

I use my Alber efix e35 in rain it’s fine the only issue is they make your chair wider

@@Duddie82 i had an e motion and used it in the rain no problem. I want to put my smart drive on the chair I have my emotion wheels on because I need help braking down steep hills which the emotion does and smart drive does not.

CAUTION! I bought one. It kept falling off. Even after adjustment. Then I was out with it, got it going on a sidewalk, reached the end of the sidewalk and bumping my wrist on the push rim didn’t cancel the power at first. Eventually it did but that convinced me it was an accident waiting to happen and I got my money back. I’m surprised they haven’t been sued into oblivion with this thing. THEY’RE DANGEROUS! I also spoke to another user who told me his slammed him into the inside of his van.

Its not safe if you are not in good enough shape to use one. I have never been in a bad experience with mine. I use mine at Art shows, with lots of people. And I get around fine, I can set mine to the speed of walkers, and yes, they stop right in front of me, But I am prepared to double tap to stop in a quick second. Now when I first got mine, Yes it took time to get used to it, I spent lots of time in parking lots on weekends so no people/cars moving near me. Once I learned, it came in very handy!! I Love using my Smart Drive!!!!!!

They are pricey, But if you have insurance, like here, those of us who are on Medicair, We can get one through them. We do pay a little, and they pay much more, so it works here, Or some people have insurance, and it is paid in full. I got mine pretty cheap, I had to be ready as the opportunity came to get mine cheap..

Really don’t like how you need to press a button to stop

They use a watch now which allows you to tap your wrist to start and stop. I have the watch and the buttons.

Most of us in the States, have multiple chairs, as ours are replaced every 5 years. You would need to find someone who is near you size, and it might cost lots to send to you.
