It is criminal that these are $12000 in Australia. There is nothing overly expensive here. Think about how much electric bike you could get for $12000. After 46 yrs as a wheelchair chair user I am convinced that the whole industry is run by criminals.

I'm still in shock from the prices and how little you get for that amount of money, it's been more stressful dealing with 'how can I afford the cost of this equipment' than the fact that I can't use my legs for walking anymore... it really seems like making things myself is my only real option. time to learn a whole lot of skills !

Neat little device but the price is too high considering such low capacity and the fact that its mostly for disabled people who in my experience don't have that high of a budget.

Retail in Australia for $12,600 I just purchased the oppression Smoov one for the same price having had the first Smartdrive but got tired of replacing the rollers ! That aside after owning the Smoov one I Wish i had the newer smartdrive given all the upgrades

A resistor with a single black line is called a zero-ohm resistor, used so a Pick and place machine can be used to place the part. And yes that small board is a wireless module. Why remove the protective cover before giving it a charge? The battery pack from the manufacture is $50.

where you find a battery for $50? All I can find is like $1200

The watt rating on the battery is more than likely what the manufacturer recommends for a specific kit, if you buy a battery rated for 500w and run a 1000w motor the battery will die, the other way around with a 1000w battery and 500w motor you're going to be 100% fine However, if you're gonna upgrade the battery make sure the capacity is bigger than the one you have now and the constant discharge rate of the battery is at least 15 amps

I'm in Toronto, Canada. I finally replace the 12 cells with used batteries. Now I have 3 LED indicator on when fully charged.

Yes please please provide source for battery. These are crazy expensive to replace from Permobile for us users. Someone should repair or sell these for us for fair price. It would be good business
