Ойын-сауық
For the past six years Greg Dietrich, Jake Polatty, and a group of fellow Star Wars fans have been building a blinking, bleeping, insanely detailed full size version of the Millennium Falcon's cockpit.

I was just a boy when the first Star Wars came out. I had always been a sci-fi nut (Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, etc) but when this hit me, it hit hard. I can still remember leaving the theater and starring out the window of my dad's Country Squire station wagon (I always sat in the little fold out seat in the back) and my little mind trying to process what I had just seen. For that Christmas my parents got me a Star Wars book that was like an encyclopedia. It had all the drawings and cutaways and pictures and it had all the vehicles including the Death Star with all the races and maps of the Star Wars universe. It was the best present I had ever got. I would have flipped my lid at this mockup. Big time!
I have worked on military aircraft for 22 years, the "laser gun" on the ceiling is in the exact place where we used a manual sextant as a backup system. Just a thought...….
I want to have such a crazy friends like those guys!
Pure labor of love! Congrats! May the force, the money, the time, the resources and the patient be with you ... Always...
After watching the original trilogy this morning, I thought how cool it would be to build a replica of this cockpit. Just like that , I saw this video out of the blue! I love what you guys have done! This is the coolest thing I've seen! I also love the reason for its being, what drives you to do it. I felt like I was 8 years old again! Thank you!

A full size falcon would just be the greatest thing ever.
Star Wars fans are the most passionate and I feel, the wealthiest. I follow a few SW fans in social media and some of them even transform their houses into something that would fit in the SW universe. Some of them collect expensive figures in bulk so that they could army-build. So you could not really blame them if they are the most vocal out of all the fandoms out there. They’re the machine that never stops running and keeps the Star Wars franchise alive.
Yay, escapism in it's finest form!
