I've gone back to gen 8 ag. Already bored of gen 9. I know most people hated it but I really missed dynamaxing and I just have a lot more fun with it. Also they took away my beloved grapploct with topsy turvy and didn't even bother to put in another mon that can learn it. With all the stat boosting that goes on that just isn't good enough for me. Ps I know this has nothing to do with this video but just wanted to get it off my chest

hmm, I always thought that contrary only worked when the opponent raised/decreased ur stats. didn't know that it worked on urself lol. I just realized what I've missed out on all this time.

Contrary is very popular because it works on yourself. Malamar would probably be untiered if it didn't work like that because it's superpowers would still lower attack and defense

i think they realized they accidentally let serperior basically set up to +4x and might not have had an actual answer for stopping a sweep, so they just forfeited

Not only because of the boosts, but because Serperior was at full HP and was behind a substitute, his only answer was a scizor which would definitely get 2HKO by leaf storms, so in practice the opponent already lost.
