I was really disappointed that I didn’t make my high school state champs this year, but then I looked back at my times from last year. I went from a 25.49 to a 22.65 in my 50 free, and set a school record! Your videos helped me keep a positive mindset after finding out I missed the state champs by .09. Thanks Cody!!!!

And Coach Lindsay told me to say hi. hope you still remember her, she still has the birthday cards you made her. She loved coaching you when you were younger and tells about how amazing you were all the time.

Cody, you inspire me. Whenever I feel like I dknt want to swim anymore, you remind me how you came from Samdpipers (my team too!) and made a name for yourself. You probably wont see this but I just want to personally thank you for motivating me through every hard day that I dont think I can get through.

For a while I used to think about practice the whole day and stress out about it. Then when I would arrive at the pool, I would be exhausted. After watching your videos, I have learned to “smile through the pain” and look forward to practices. I no longer stress out about practice and that is all thanks to you. Thank you for giving me a better mindset about swimming and you probably saved my swimming career. I now enjoy going to practice and I can focus on the important things in my life such as swim and family. Thank you for all that you do and keep doing these vlogs because you never know what you can do for somebody and their life.

Hey Cody, i just wanted to thank you for your positive videos. I am a modern pentathlete, 17yr old and at the start of the season i was 2 months ill and even tought about giving up the sport. But then i started watching your videos and it made my day and everything better. 😁 Yesterday we had a killing swim training with 10×25m legs, i'm actually not that great in the pool but i still managed to swim all of them about 20-21s normally i do about 24 and i'm actually dying. One of the best swims in a long time.. Just bc of you. So thank you very much again. And sorry for my bad english 😅

I started swimming for a surf life saving club this time last year and we had to do a 200m in less than 7 minutes and i got about 8 minutes and in a gear i dropped to 3.23 lol

Man Cody do I love watching these after practice. This is the University of Lynchburg's (Virginia) first year of having men and women's swimming since the '70s or something and we are out here KILLING it. So far we're 6-0 in our conference and we're doing really well for a first-year program, and I personally thank you for a lot of that!
i just found out i’m the 9th fastest 13 year old in the nation!! i’m so exited cuz i work so hard to make it there but i’m working towards the fastest in the national, your videos really inspire to work harder. thank youuu!

So my high school coach who went to IU in the 60s introduced us to that 50 seconds on the wall and then do a 25 no breath. They called them "Purdue" 25s back then. Nice to see you still doing them 50 years later.
I was literally thinking when he was driving “hey that looks like Indiana” then he frickin waked into IU 😂😂

I have done the breath hold and then swim before... but holding for 60 seconds! wow. Though we usually do the hold and then off into a max 25 with no breathing (or at the very least, get a good number of strokes in from the breakout if you can't do the length).

Thank you Cody for motivating and inspiring me to get better. I have a meet next Saturday and it's my first one since I became a butterflier. So I am a little scared
I swam when I was younger for 6 years, took 2 years off, and got back into it this year as a sophomore. From my first to last meet , I took off 10 seconds my 50 free, 20 seconds in my 100 free, and 26 in my 200 free. High school season just ended but I am in club season now. My goal is to break 1:00 by the end of the year for the 100 free!! So glad I started swimming again😄

My swim season has just ended but it went out on a high note as I went to state for the first time and I was an alternate!
I’m a new swimmer been swimming in a club for 2 months or so and dropped 7 seconds at the weekend at a meet, 100m Breast 1:44 :) Your a big inspiration.

This state meet last weekend, I dropped a minute and 13 seconds in the mile. This season in the mile I’ve dropped 111 seconds total. Unfortunately I missed my goal time of senior 2 cuts by 4 seconds.

I was at the IFLY Midwest challenge last week which we didn’t rest or shave for and was less than a half a second within most of my lifetime bests

I could never do the breath control you do. I would pass out no kidding. I can hold my breath still for 1:12 and my face will be blue.

I’m training for the 100 breast for a state meet this weekend.. my coach keeps telling me I need to work on kicking/ gliding only after I have completed a full stroke, is this what you do? I’m having trouble timing when to kick, I think muscle memory is throwing me off

Sebastian Auza Before you get in the pool, make sure to stretch out, and after the meet, stretch as well. I used to have the same problem and thats helped me, im not Cody tho😕

Swimming a 50 fly tomorrow and I’m not really feeling it. I don’t like butterfly and it’s not my best stroke.
