I wouldn't say that it was undeserving as such. United should never have let them back into the game, that much is true. But United still had more shots on target, mor shots off target, more blocked shots, more possesion, more corners and more counterattacks. Can't really say that the wrong team won.

We dominated them for 70 minutes until they got a lucky goal and a pen that wasn't given for Chelsea against City, which is why I'd also call that one lucky. We deserved that win, we just, like always, made it hard for ourselves.

Isn't that the case with Liverpool and Arsenal for decades now? They are always favourites, almost always winning a cup or even 'quadruple' just so they can end the season empty handed or with 1 little cup. I think that you are correct. It should have never went to penalties. Coventry’s forth goal didn’t appear to be offside and I think that VAR blew the call.
