FULL MOTO. James Stewart's Final Career Moto Win | High Point 2014

Today we look back at the last time motocross icon James Stewart took victory in AMA Pro Motocross. The then Yoshimura Suzuki mounted Stewart completed a clean sweep of the day at High Point Raceway with a 1-1 performance. Relive his performance from the second moto that day as he held the likes of Trey Canard, Ken Roczen, and Ryan Dungey behind him to get the win in front of a roaring Pennsylvania crowd.

I think this does a good job of showing just how fast Trey Canard was. He's going toe to toe with the FMOTP. If it hadn't been for injuries, I could easily see him with multiple titles. It's a shame that JS7 did't stick around longer. He wasn't my favorite rider, but he made the races better.

When i think back at the most talented guy ever it is JS7. He was the guy that set the new bar for speed ambition. He set a speed foundation that caused the technique change we have today. Like a break thru and then comes understanding. He wasnt as 10:48 graceful as the latest Jett, but inspired creative thinking at the race like a video game.

RC, James, and now Jett. The only in the world to perfect a national series. When James turned pro, he did basically what Jett is doing, redefined how to ride a bike. Every rider tried to get his "Bubba Scrub" wired, and very few could do it as well as James did, (wow on the 125!!!). He is a Legend in this sport. I was there, and I don't hand out that honor to any schlappy. Kids quote so many "Legends" today, they forget who they all are in a week.

It had nothing to do with age. These guys are so young they could easily go another 10 years. What happens is they just get burnt out from all it. They’ve been riding since they were a kid and then came all the pressure from riding pro. It all adds up and mentally they just don’t want it anymore. As far as their age they could easily handle racing up until they were 50 if their minds were mentally into winning and all that goes with it. I also think it has a lot to do with the 4 strokes coming in. These are 2 stroke guys and it radically changed the sport to a very different sport and it’s just not the same as the 2 strokes
