Ma Lin won many World Cups. He was 2nd in 3 different ITTF World Singles. During his career, Ma peaked in even years and Wang Liqin peaked in odd years. And we know ITTF World Championships occur in odd years. Another reason was the change in the ball size from 38mm to 40. Playing with the 38mm ball, Ma Lin was unbeatable in both domestic/international competitions because of his services and 3rd ball attacks. As a penholder, Ma Lin was one of the many victims of the unnecessary and unjust rule changes.

The man commentor said China do not have a 14 year-old as good as Miwa, that's totally wrong. There are too many excellent teenage players in China, just they don't have a chance to compete at international matches because there are too many top notch players ranked at world's first, second , third and fourth before them. In addition, Wang Yidi didn't play well today.

She seemed to be in bottle neck now, losing badly to Shin yubin and Hirano lately.

Love the players, HATE this miserable/useless side camera angle

To my mind Miwa's Blade is too fast for her, she does lot of direct fault on her first attack on forehand and backhand, it is a good performance for her but to my mind Yidi does not play well.

Indian people, what the heck you react like that, when MIWA(By the way, a Chinese player as well) wins they made much louder noise. They are all Chinese players!, I wish India has some good players that in level can compete with Chinese players...but very disappointed. Wang Y.D. made Indian people mouth shut.
