I remember the last time Memphis went to Houston in the NCAA tournament they were in the national championship but I still think Memphis is just not ready to go all in. Memphis goes far as elite 8 or sweet 16

I love the confidence but I just feel like March madness isn’t something you can’t crack with analytics. It’s so random and unpredictable often people who rarely watch college basketball end up with the best brackets

In the first two rounds, I would agree you can't rely TOO heavily on analytics. However, when it comes to predicting the final four, it's been consistently the "top tier" teams. Even in the cases of a lower seed making it all the way, it's almost always a team from a power 5 conference. Think UNC (8) last year or UCLA (11) the year before.

I agree it isn’t solvable, but I do think analytics can help identify gaps. By gaps I mean the things that the tournament committee uses for seeding that don’t align with how good the team is. They have imperfect data too, but you can do better than average by identifying those.

After lots of calculating, and I mean lots of calculating, he got 52 points out of 192 points possible😢

I love this bracket. I have one disagreement. Baylor will not lose to Creighton. Yes, BU is inconsistent, but it's mostly on defense. If you are saying Creighton is inconsistent too, then it comes down to experience and offense, which gives the edge to Baylor. I agree that the winner in that game is losing in the sweet 16 against Arizona. Just my opinion.

Someone enlighten me on how a guy can call himself a bracket guru when in 2022 he went 0 for 4 picking final 4 teams, had Iowa in the final 4 who lost in the first round, and called St. Peters a bad 15 seed. He also clearly can't read the statement by the sheriff and Brandon Miller's attorney on what actually happened the night of the murder. Wasn't his gun and he didn't take the gun to Miles. Miles' gun was left in Miller's car without Miller knowing it and he and Jaden Bradley went to pick Miles up

I hate what the committee did in the west region, UConn could be a 3 seed, Gonzaga could be a 2 seed, saint Marys is a really strong 5 seed and UCLA could be a 1 seed. They really messed up badly there

What’s great about this tourney is any team can get hot for 40 minutes and steal 1 sometimes 2 games. The upsets happen in the first Weekend when everyone is nervous and players choke under the showtime pressure. The settle down after that first win but The higher your seed the less you have to lose meanwhile a high seed is supposed to win and has all the pressure that potentially failing brings. What’s your boys gonna say if you blow it? Scouts watching I can’t choke.. It’s so good and that’s why we love it when some kid comes out of nowhere and can’t miss. Who’s it gonna be this year?! My bracket is close to yours but I took a few turns that my gut pointed to and I’m keeping it to myself. Don’t want none of y’all’s juju on my picks 😂

You need to do your homework on Missouri if you “forgot they were in the tournament”. Looking them up on Ken Pom and it saying a lower ranking doesn’t tell the whole story. 6-4 against AP top 25, at least 6 quad 1 wins and no quad 2-4 losses. Only 5 other teams can say that - Kansas, Texas, Baylor, UCLA, and Alabama.

Even with how bad this bracket turned out, I still ended up 2nd out of 14 in my pool using it.

Really think ORU is a sneaky pick here against a young unexperienced duke, top 10 in 2pt pct, top 10 in free throws, loaded with veterans and better than the sweet16 team.

Oral Roberts is definitely capable of getting an upset, but I think they have a terrible matchup against Duke. Duke is playing ELITE basketball right now and the majority of their losses came early in the season. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the final 4.

This Auburn vs Iowa matchup is really interesting. I think the winner has a good chance at beating Houston

Amateur. Half of the kids in this tournament I've been following since they came out the womb. As a baby, my parents laid brackets in my crib where I studied relentlessly. I know every player on every team in this year's tournament so well that I could recall each one's birthplace hospital within seconds.
