One of the reasons Khabib has success in the cage is because of the rule that you cannot kick your opponent while his hands are touching the floor. Every time he shoots in for a take down, he can easily be kicked in the head but the rule set saves him. If this was Pride, Khabib would be 13-13

Conor used a very disrespectful language towards Khabib and this is a horrible no-no in Khabib's culture when these things are said to males publicly. Khabib will prefer to die or beat Conor to pulp. In his culture, when his compatriots back home heard disrespectful and insulting things said by Conor - for Khabib it is a duel to the death - he has no way out and he would never take any other way out now. Traditionally, Avars and Dagestanis are very modest fatalists -- they are horrifying fighters who do not surrender to anybody anytime. They can lose the fight but they will make the offender remember his name for life. And one more thing... Conor called his father or brother a coward - then Conor is crippled for life if not dead. They can die for you as friends but they will annihilate you for an insult or any disrespectful utterance against their bloodline. Now Conor can drink himself into oblivion, as in the cage he might lose his ability to speak, yell if not to breathe. May God exempt him for his verbalized stupidity, but there will be no mercy from Khabib. And if Khabib loses the fight - he will take it humbly as there is no shame in defending his honor in fighting even if the fight is lost. But Conor's odds are shrinking badly.
