I just adore him 🥰. The man is one of the few non-english/american actors who is cast in so many hit movies in Hollywood. True international movie star and yet it feels like there's no hint of arogance in him. He doesn't take himself so serously. I like his view on parenting, too. As a father of 8 children he surely knows what he's talking about. Great man and great actor. Swedish people must be very proud of him!

It's funny how Swedish actors all speak perfect English, but Finnish actors suck at it. And yes, i'm Finnish.

Don't be too hard on yourself. It's must be trickier for you, coming from an entirely different language family. Swedish and English are pretty similar after all.

So the hosts are speaking Norwegian, I know their show... I'm learning Norwegian and what Stellan is saying is difficult for me to follow... but tantalizingly similar so I am guessing he's speaking his native Swedish... I'm picking up the occasional "och" instead of "og". I hope after I am more confident with my norsk I can start learning Swedish in earnest (and stop asking embarrassing questions like 'what language is that?'). Regardless, I think Stellan is very sexy (I'm a 50+ lady so I'm allowed to say that, I think). Tusen takk for the subtitles!

Haha finally, I thought they were speaking Norwegian, because I could only understand what Stellan says and some words of what the others are saying and I was like: are they speaking with an accent or another language... 🤔

there is an accent and i think it would be even easy for non-scandinavians to notice the difference, but we understand each other well, at least norwegians understand swedish and danish very well, danes and swedes understand each other a bit less, but still...almost the same.

He speaks swedish in his norwegian roles. I would guess it's as easy for a swede and a norwegian to understand each other as it's for an american and a scot, even if we (I myself am a swede) have more words that differs from each of the languages. The same with the danes, but norwegians and danes do have an easier time understanding each other than danes and swedes. The danes speaks with a more blurry voice or dialect. We swedes use to say that their mouths are filled with porridge.Still'love'em

This is Norwegian and Swedish together? I honestly would not be able to tell the two languages apart if I heard a Norwegian and a Swede speaking it in public and perhaps, most people wouldn't either. It must be something like when two Spanish speakers from Ecuador and Argentina get together. More like dialects of the same language rather than different languages.

+jsphat81 The languages are similar, yes, but very often norwegians understand swedish better than the swedes understand norwegian. As a norwegian I feel like my language is like a sort of mixture of swedish and danish (historical reasons). Danish people and swedes rarely understand each other, but they both understand norwegian to some extand, and we norwegians understand both their language. Norwegian perks haha!

Stellan spoke Swedish in the film. Norwegian and Swedish is very similar, so we understand each other well, as you can see in the interview too. The two hosts are Norwegian.
