Like most people, I watch a lot of videos; this one is excellent! The audio is great (clear and loud), the technician explains and shows each step he performs in a professional and no nonsense manner (he is serious and not goofy, not making stupid and silly faces, eye pops, jokes, or other annoying and unprofessional juvenile antics), and he THANKFULLY does not play mind-numbing background music that overpowers his voice. Thank you. First class presentation.

Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I kzread.infoUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!
Hey I own a stud finder sir, worked 9 months under a licensed electrician and did some college for dropped it because of math requirements. I could wire a whole home hot tub, 4 way switches, ground a house but the schools math made me quit! Pipe bending is not a math requirement! It’s simple observation!
@nhankhuu5643
9 ай бұрын
It is a math requirement... wtf are you talking about? It's algebra for most things and for pipe bend it's basic math to calculate shrinkage. I'm not here to talk shit to you but I'm here to tell everyone who doesn't know any better what you said is simply untrue.
After countless hours of videos, this is the one to follow. Had no issues with an install. Thanks for your premium instruction!

Other than the whole “drill a bunch of test holes” nonsense, this video is super informative, as always.
What a beautiful install. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
Purely clear and straight foward, so educative and to the point. One more thing i liked is ur desire fo a perfect finish appearance on the installations, clean and smart
I have to add yet another note of thanks to the large pile of them in the comments section. Craig, I must have watched this video 3-4 times to take in all of the detailed information you provided on this installation. You helped me immensely as I added a Pioneer mini-split to my garage this weekend. Thanks!
Great video Craig. I've installed many different mini-splits through the years and your video is well done. I really like Cooper and Hunter. I spent time with them at their Miami facility and they donated a lot of parts and units for our college program. Thanks for doing a great job.
OMG! Thank you for this video! I have a install coming up that requires 5 heads and I was wondering how to run the condensate lines and this video has solved my problem!! Thanks!!!
I appreciate your attention to detail. I've been in the trade for many years and watching your videos I always learn something new. Thanks for sharing.
You are so thorough if some learns from you, they could not say that you didn't show and explain carefully. Great job.
Wonderful, it was like a real workshop definitely worth alot. After watching your videos i have installed an ac split unit for my brother with zero experience and it's working excellent. Thank you.
Great job man. This makes me much more comfortable installing my new unit.
Best mini-split video on KZread. You've got a talent for telling the right amount of information.
best instructional mini split unit installation I have seen on youtube. Very clear and concise voice , clear video and close ups on key A/C parts and not once did you demonstrator veer off the content subject . A+
Quality install! Especially liked the use of the vinyl downspout to encase the lines.
Ordered mine yesterday, it will take 2 weeks direct from Senville. My head unit will mount to my living room wall which is an exterior wall, right above the condenser unit pad. I hope to make an installation video. The use of the PVC “Sleeve” around the copper, electrical and condensate lines is brilliant, so I will definitely do that. I’ve been watching these installation videos for tricks and hazards and this has been one of the most educational.
Thank you so much for posting this video, it was the best training I found for a self install. Everything was shown pretty much, unlike other good videos that skip "supposedly obvious" steps. I just installed a senville and tested it for the first time tonight :D
Just wanted to say thank you. With this video and your books I was able to successfully install my first mini-split.
*Easy to assemble **Fastly.Cool*
I usually leave a little more slack in the lineset where it meets the outside unit. That way if there is a scratched flare or bad flare it has enough pipe to redo it. Nice job.
Best Video and presentation I have ever watched on KZread. I now feel confident I can install my unit properly.
I love installing mini splits, best jobs!! Double valve core for the micron gauge is a good idea.
This video couldn't have come at a better time for me !!! I am so lucky. I follow all videos of AC Service Tech LLC and had already watched almost all videos related to vacuuming lines, nitrogen pressure testing lines, and tips and trick videos. But this one should help me validate, whatever steps I had planned to do based on watching multiple videos, were they correct or was I missing something. Lots of credit to the channel host
Great job! I appreciate your attention to detail and the clear explanation of everything you were doing. I thought about jumping to another video about half way through but you kept it interesting and I watched to the end. This is a very good example of a professional installation and you made it look easy. I have installed a few dozen Mitsubishi mini splits and I can tell you it's usually not easy!

best install video i have found. Cutting corners on hvac installs is very common, and carries a large financial and environmental price. systems that get onstalled once and run for years without problems get this kind of attention to detail.
Anyone think Craig is NOT Italian raise your hand... because his are moving like crazy. Awesome explanation of all the steps Craig. Thank you. Brought your book down here to Brazil for reference. Had to rewire everything the "HVAC Techs" did at my new construction. The work they did is horrible. Our builder said they are very good comparatively and expensive. I told him they'd be the hacks in USA. I paid them $1460 Brazilian dollars (about $300 USD) for the install of four 18K units. Our construction crews ran the line sets and electrical wires while building. Pressure test...nope. Vacuum...nope. Wire connectors...nope. One bolt, not tightened holding two of the units on the outside wall bracket...yep. All the ground wires from four units spliced to one that goes to the service panel...yep. Mini splits fail down here all the time, can you guess why? Oh yeah, no license necessary to be an HVAC installer or tech. So for all those that complain in the USA about the steps to become one there is a reason. Thank you again Craig for your years of dedication to this industry. Your information is always presented in a very professional and clear manner. Muito Obrigado from 5000 miles south.
Thank you for taking the time. Great job!

Thanks Craige I used your guide to do my first install. i added a couple of extra steps to my install and purged the lines with nitrogen before tightening the high side flare nut and after pressure testing I released the nitrogen down to about 1-2 psi then hooked up the vac pump and slowly purged the remaining nitrogen through the vac pump fittings as not to allow any moisture back in the lines. I pulled a deep vacuum very fast without much rise after closing the valves. My unit is a Mitsubishi Bronte 7.1kW Reverse Cycle Split System.
DUDE. Your videos are absolute GOLD for me. I just graduated and got my EPA and your videos are super appreciated. Got your book off amazon. Thank you so much.
Very clean install. I do prefer a 3 in hole. Just much easier to feed the lines. And I also prefer line hide with the wall inlet. But those are just my preferences. This channel is a new tech/installers best friend👍

This is great professional instruction. Some of the products sold are giving incorrect torque specs in their installation manual. For instance, I torqued a 1/4 line to 18-20 nm, which crushed the flare and the line exploded ,releasing all refrigerant.

Excellent job on the installation Craig!!!!
Craig, mini split today, the homeowner installed and started up himself with a vac. pump he bought. He had the unit running but decided to tighten down the flare nut extra security. He ended up breaking the flare off. He then front seated the service valves. I made the repair and tested with nitrogen at 275 for 30 minutes, no drop in pressure. Put my 6 CFM vac pump on with fresh oil, and it took quite a while to come down to 480 micron. when I closed off the vac pump (just the same way you did) I had a rise to 1300 microns. this was after I vac pumped it for almost an hour! Only 20 feet of line set. What do you think is wrong?
@Fighter4Street
3 жыл бұрын
Did you use a manifold gauge when you vacuum tested? They say any of those hoses or valves could leak. The micron gauge can also leak like he said, and that is why he uses a little oil on the gauge.
