Hi! I have seen quite a few comments about how red my scalp is. This is me in this video, I just wanted to say that Ruby never ever did my hair too tight. I have had hair dressers obliterate my scalp and tear my edges out but never Ruby. My braids were secure, but not ever too tight. I have extremely sensitive skin, even using a wide toothed comb on detangled, wet hair will make my scalp beet red.

im a hairdresser and people send me other peoples youtube videos to do for them all the time, nothing wrong in showing what you want from your stylist, and if she doesn't accept your request you should find another that will, I think hairdressers should be open to try different and new things

I can't tell you how much I appreciate your talking through the whole video. It seems that so many sew-in/braids/extensions videos are to music -which is cool, but I learned so much more from yours! I'm in Beauty School in a small town, and I've been doing a LOT of black hair. Frustratingly we don't get any instruction in school in how to do this! ...so, I've been dusting up what I already know with You Tube. Thank you so much for the great tutorials!!

its so amazing the attention you put into preparing the braids. Most videos you see on youtube, the braids are very untidy and i never understood why they pay no attention to the individual's own hair. Very refreshing and super neat. Very well done!!!!!

Girl.... I rarely comment but..... You did an excellent job! I would have to say this was one of the best, if not the best instructional videos and techniques I've seen for making a closure look that flawless. Good to see someone who actually takes the time to perfect a hairstyle vs rushing thru it to get to the next person like a lot of these so-called professionals (oops did I say that...) If you were a stylist in Cali I would definitely let you do my hair. Keep up the good work!

thank you for this video. my first time sewing hair in for my daughter. at 53, i'm proud of myself. my daughter is transitioning to natural, is 17 and this is her first sew in. sewing took almost 6 hours but i promise you, more than once i have paid from 80 to 140 (mostly professionals) and none of them did as well as i just did on my daughter...because of this video.

I am getting my first weave and this video helped me prepare for what was going to happen I feel so much better now that I know is gonna happen and I'm very excited to get my first weave and having the long hair of my dreams!

This is the best video I have seen on sew ins with no leave out. This is what I have been looking for. Unfortunately I can't find any stylist who can do a sew in like this. My own hair is thin. The last time I got a sew in with a closure the stylist sew it in like an invisible part. I was so disappointed because I like for my weaves to look natural. Anyway, great video!!
