Sad to say this kind of thing may not ever see again. Seeing UNC develop over that four year period that resulted in their two runs to the final four in 08 and 09 was cool to watch. Took my uncle and he was confused why I thought he was so incredible, telling me man he's bad after the game. 😂 I reminded him he led the winning team with 26 points and something like 12 rebounds. Throw the ball at the hoop and out hustle everyone and put it back. I'd take 5 of these guy's in college but obviously not NBA. Steph then and now: 1. His conditioning was terrible, often really out of gas. He never is now. 2. The scheme wasn't designed to get him the ball. Especially in the first half he barely touched it. Only brought it up for a couple of possessions in the second half. 3. He was obviously way skinnier and that affected his ability to shed defenders on the perimeter. He couldn't push off effectively. 4. He wasn't in constant motion then like he is now. When the ball didn't get to him he'd just hang around hoping. 5. His legs weren't as strong so his shot wasn't falling as consistently. He did a lot of leg and core conditioning after his NBA ankle injuries and that helped his late game shot from three a lot. In college he obviously looked like he was pushing it a lot.

Kids don’t anything about analytics. College and above, yes. I play against middle school through adult age in pick up games. The younger the kid, the less they know how to play team basketball and set a screen, shot or pass fake, cut or move without the ball. So the only thing left is ‘iso’ basketball. Pull up a 3 or try to drive and shoot off the dribble. There’s one decision. I’m shooting. And they don’t even know when they shouldn’t be the guy shooting because they are mommy;s special snow flake. I watch these games with my 13 year old and he says ‘nobody could play’ back then except Jordan.

The greatest shooter🤣🤣.
I remember thinking like probably everyone back then that Hansbrough was the most dominate player in basketball
I was at this game go cats!
among the players from both teams... only steps became one of top NBA player... that time if they only see the future maybe they keep it passing to Curry for the three
Their shorts are huge 😂
Shoulda pass it to curry😢..
Wish Roy would have gave Curry an offer.

It’s not about developing players, it’s about their winning legacy.
Rather have curry drive than shoot from the perimeter😅
this Steph curry guy has a future
I always wondered what happened to Tyler mentally.
Go GSW
The day after my dads birthday
Frodo should have stay at UNC for another 15 years
I happened to watch a game in the NBA with Hansbrough in it in Toronto and I was amazed how much of a drop off there was between his skill level and everyone else's on the court. He clearly did not belong.

He had the effort and drive which can still work in college. Saw him live in ACC tournament in 09 and love guys like him who give it everything while lacking so much. He was to undersized to be a true big and very limited athleticism to be a spread out big.

Baggy short era in basketball
Curry turned out to be a good NBA player granted the NBA changed the rules to promote perimeter shooting and less contact. College is different he actually had to play both ends nothing he could do with Lawson and Ellington.

Wow, Curry actually isn't the PG here. Guess how I know? He doesn't have the ball! He sure as hell is for the GSW. People who say Curry is a SG in the NBA really don't understand how easy this is 🤦
this #30 shrimp will do nothing in basketball

I was thinking.... damn Curry is pretty good, but I thought he was a little better. Just then, they mention that he is just a sophomre; rofl. wow!

Tyler Hansborough always looked like he just gutted his neighbors dog for a ritual , every game. Every day. I'm not sure he blinks.
at 20:23, BS call on Lawson
Why bad imflu
Why’s Danny Green always licking his teeth like he gotta floss😂
The No#2 of davidson is so very selfish..steph curry has an open shot ,and many time he open shot ,but he didnt throw the ball to Steph to shoot the ball...😢
I thought this was going to be a great game, why the hell was it in my recommendeds?
Wow. First 10 minutes and this has been nothing but a Curry brickfest…maybe it’ll get better…
Seems like that curry kid is a little bit overrated. Needs to stay 4 years but i dont see him getting drafted.
One became an NBA legend and future hall of famer: Curry. One became a failed NBA bust and is no longer playing pro basketball: Hansbrough.

I got the 1st comment here. So, let me say that Curry has been a bad influence on basketball because everyone wants to jack up 30 footers . Nothing but the truth I just spoke .
