FULL FIGHT | Joseph Parker V Joe Joyce (2022) FHD
Ойын-сауық
Britain's Joe Joyce walked through the best New Zealander Joseph Parker had to offer to knock out his rival in the 11th round of a thrilling fight in Manchester. The heavyweights went toe-to-toe in a back and forth contest before a stunning left hook landed flush on the chin of Parker. Joyce claimed the WBO interim heavyweight title with the biggest win of his career and now has his eyes set on challenging heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in 2023.
The Briton's step up in class had been debated all week after 14 pro fights against lower-level opponents, but he showed a granite chin to become the first man to stop Parker, a former world champion. "Joseph Parker, what afighter," Joyce said. "It was a tough fight. What a tough fight. I had to dig deep to get through the rounds. I really enjoyed it." #JosephParker #JoeJoyce #Boxing #samoamedia @SamoaMediaNZ

Really nice to see many showing respect to both fighters.
Incredible fight. Joyce has finally convinced me at last that now he is right up there in the top band, but he must get a move on with his age. Parker was incredible and remained a danger throughout and what a sportsman. It shows Dubois just how he must improve to this higher level to move up, but I think he can.
@angrysocialjusticewarrior
Жыл бұрын
I agree, he should really start trying to move things along quicker in his career because age is not on his side. Strength and power may be the last things to go with age, but punch resistance tends to drop relatively quickly just like speed and reflexes. And its no secret how integral punch resistance is to Joe's style. But I think he is already aware of this, which is why he has already called out the big guns like Usyk and Fury.

It must have been a heartbreaker for Parker to realise, from at least the 3rd that he was simply outgunned and that his best punches simply were not weakening the relentless come forward style of Joyce [ who also showed a better defence in his career to date ]

@@thetruesquad5059 You know that most heavyweights now who have fought for the title are washed ups, and that includes AJ, Chisora, and yes, most definitely Parker. It just looked as though Parker hit Joyce with a clean hard right hand and Joyce just said 'I've got one of those'. Amazing engine, chin, power and deceptive footwork, as Parker just kept finding himself walked into a corner. Excellent performance and very good fight. Joyce fights slow to conserve energy so he can keep coming forward at the same pace, it also helps him to keep throwing punches too because he's not wearing him self out where as if he was fighting at a faster pace, which keeps his opponenst moving backwards and they drain their energy just trying to defend Joyce's onslaughts which enables him to pick up the pace once he sees that they are getting tired

@@ThinkBritishEnglish Some strange people online these days who get triggered by opinions alone it appears. I 100% agree with you. There hasn't been a heavyweight fight this good all year. Alot of people are of the same opinion also.

@@technojoe4079 Thanks Joe. Yeah for 2 big guys it was non stop entertainment. Apparently Joyce threw nearly 900 punches.
Good win by JJ and well derserved but jeez Parker landed some beautiful shots as well . im proud of Parker..great fight.
Respect to two tough men who put on a great show
Great fight,big respect for both!!!
At last a proper boxing match! I'm a huge fan of Parker and its a shame to see him not go the distance, but well done Joe Joyce!

@@christianbozwell4981 One particular example would be Furys tactics against Wilder.....headlocks & excessive 'leaning' with such a weight advantage, its not good to watch.

I remember watching Joyce's old fight vs Usyk, he has improved so much since then. Would be interesting to see what a rematch would look like.
