    A true Warrier, he can take a punch...point is he don't have to! He's in the ranks with Mayweather on fighting skills. I believe Fury will try to lay on Usyk as he does every fighter, he fights but, Usyk will slip out and punch Fury on the way!!

    A lot of people can't get their head around Usyk. He boxes like a cat slowly mauling a mouse, softening them up, very steadily cranking it up. Controlled. No wild bursts. keeping that jab soft, soft, then suddenly hard, then back to soft then hard...keeps the opponent mentally dazed and fighting his fight, never just going for the finish, never overexerting. He actually forces his opponent to lose rather than trying hard to win. His footwork is unbelievable, his whole approach is like poetry. When he fought Chisora, he allowed for Derecks wildness and just cantered like a horse around it and was close to stopping him, or certainly knocking him down in the seventh when Chisoras legs stiffend. When Haye and Bellew and others were disparaging, I can't see why? Some people saw this one as a poor performance (including some notable professionals). I am not a boxer but am at a loss as to see why they thought this? Maybe because he doesnt fight like Mike Tyson?? Usyk has is own brillant style and it will be very hard for anyone fighting him

  • @will9603
    @will96032 жыл бұрын

    Watching this after the AJ fight, Usyk treated these fights as sparring sessions. In the 6th he hurt him and backed off. Fury said a few weeks ago he’s purposely not shown us he’s best to get the big fight and that now looks spot on!

    Agree, i think the purpose was to see his conditions with 15-20 lbs heavier. Why try to knock out early the opponent and not knowing how your body is reacting at the later stage of the fight in a new division?

    That is what I thought too. First I saw the Tony Bellew fight, and then the AJ fight. At the AJ fight I saw a totally different Usyk. His workrate could not compare to the workrate of the AJ fight. Obvious, that he hid his potential.

  • @radioactivepotato2068

    @radioactivepotato2068

    Agreed, but he got touched up with the jab and didnt look too durable, as a lot of people expected. I think Joe Joyce would have made him play eat the jab here and given him a very, very tough night. Looked better in the Chisora fight. AJ, despite a 100% chance of losing 10/10 fights trying to outbox Usyk, decided to try and outbox Usyk. I think AJ should have thrown the kitchen sink in, risked a few points and aimed to get it done in three. Fury? Wins on points and Usyk's face looks like a plum. He has far too much ring IQ to get caught and Usyk does not have the power to trouble him. Usyk might be a heavyweight, but hes not THE heavyweight.

    I can’t believe the commentators don’t know why Usyk throws his hands down. It’s just to keep the blood flowing nicely in the arms. When you keep your guard up, and your arms are tense for a couple of minutes, it makes your arms a bit tight at the elbow.

    @@jangolub8240 Sometimes keeping your guard up and your chin down can make you a bit tense. That's why occasionally boxers put their arms down and shake them and from time to time you can see them do some little jumps while standing tall to shake the cobwebs so to speak.

    Chisora has a solid chin and enough heart to give himself a few opportunities. Ultimately, the chance to land the type of heavy shots that Usyk hasn’t yet taken, or felt during the space of a bout. I still feel that Usyk has the skill set, hand speed and movement. He is also extremely accurate and has the efficiency that is paramount in building pressure and wearing down his opponent. Usyk on points, or late stoppage. Chisora has a chance, but only if he manages a knockout.

    Witherspoon was dropping his right almost every time he threw a jab. I was surprised Usyk didn't time it and use the left hook more. I guess he didn't need to. I' ve got to give a hand to Witherspoon though, he hung tough and in the end was fighting on pride. I think Fury may be afraid he will die in the ring with Usyk.

    Usyk was training and he wanted to go a few rounds. He was not getting hurt he was playing around but if they went on for one more round he could get very hurt and there is no reason for that. You have to know when to stop and he knew the next round he was going to get knocked out and really hurt. That’s a Man though, takes a man to say it’s enough. What a beautiful Classy wife Usyk has, Katia. That’s actually my mothers name but my mother is Brazilian. What a beautiful Wife and seams very humble also
