No contest would be if they were accidentally tangled and Mora had hurt his leg as a result of it. Jacobs was landing shots and Mora went down as a result of one, then hurt his leg on his was down. Good decision from the ref.

@@esunsalmista Exactly! People don't seem to understand the rules. The only question is did he go down because of a punch or not, and he clearly did. Fighters get more hurt hitting the ground than by the punch that caused the knockdown all the time.

I remember Sergio saying he'll retire if he ever got knocked out. This marks his second TKO

i watched the last 12 jacobs fights, some of these guys were total shit. they fed him shitty fighters until quillen, to masquarade his weaknesses, chin and doesn't like pressure. this fight could end in 2 rounds. golovkin wants to make a point in this fight, It's for all the marbles. He's going to be relentless beast who has a cast iron chin, jacobs punches will be meaningless.

I don't think he needs to. I heard sanchez when asked if golovkin will be more carefull because of this supposed delusional jacobs power, which really doesn't exist, He told the interviewer that's the opposite.Golovkin is going to take the fight right to jacobs. There's no feeling out bullshit.

Wishful thinking from your part but I don't think this is gonna be a good fight at all, it will be over before it even start. Watching this fight it tells you even more about Jacobs chances with GGG. a man with 0 power was over to put Jacob in his ass, you can only imagine what GGG will do to him. Jacob is gonna go there throwing home runs and hope that something good comes out of it. You have to be realistic here and Jacob might be gone in 1 or 2 rounds. You can't never say no in boxing because there's always the chance but is a 9 out 10 chance that Jacobs getting destroyed

Yeah I've got GGG knocking Jacobs out in the 4th (if not earlier) as I simply think he'll buckle from a good power shot. But most of GGG's haters still won't give him credit imo. Jacobs will become a bum or a guy with skill but no chin etc.!

Mora went down because he was hit on the back of the head by Jacobs. As he went down, he twisted his ankle at 9:36. I would love to have seen the fight end without that injury. Mora was doing well against Jacobs when you compare him to other opponents who fought Jacobs.

@13:16 you clearly see Jacobs hit Mora on the side of the head, resulting in Mora going over. There's absolutely no way that can be ruled a slip. It's a legitimate knockdown, and afterward Mora couldn't continue. Doesn't matter that a leg injury is out of the ordinary when it was preceded by a legal punch.

Would have been nice to see Jacobs continue to break him down. GGG is a daunting task for Jacobs. I don't see how he stands a chance maybe a lucky punch or maybe he outlasts him for 12 rounds . That's the only way I see Jacobs getting a W with the latter being the most likely scenario.

Ggg and pirog both fought the same guy named Ishida who never been knocked out before and he took pirog a full 12 tough rounds but when he fought ggg, ggg knocked him out COLD for the first time in his career in the third round only. Style makes fights but that just goes to show u ggg is really dangerous

I need to point this out about Jacobs that i noticed when he has someone hurt - he gets right hand happy. It's almost like he completely forgets about his left hand. Look at when he rocked Quillin, he was throwing only power punches with his right and dropping his left hand a lot. It might be something that gets him into trouble later on...

Jacobs is physical enough to hang with GGG but unfortunately Jacob's chin more that likely won't hold up. GGG would have to move up for us to see him in a competitive fight. Obviously GGG's camp is keeping him as far away from an Andre Ward fight as they can. Ward would destroy GGG simple as that.

Nafir Alvarez but when GGG, Brook and Ward was 19 GGG fought at superlightweight 140lbs, Brook fought at welterweight and Ward at lightheavyweight! so really GGG is the one the shouldn't move up! he should stay and become the undisputed middleweight champion.

Having wobbling legs and limping on your feet are not caused by the same damage. Mora's foot was hurt, like as if his ankle got fractured or something.

+Ether that's rarely the case though. Khan took his left hands really well, and in the early rounds especially the first Canelo swung wildly with the left and khan was able to make him miss. If Jacobs would be able to capitalize on that and counter those reaching shots Canelo sometimes throws, it'll be an interesting night.

Raul Garcia yeah, i saw him mostly missing with his left hook. He was definitely throwing the left hook but it wasnt landing often and if it did, it wasnt flush

it remind me when Chad Dawson threw Hopkins to the ground and got injured, the ref scored a tko but was changed to NC.when there's a clash of heads before the 4its NC

You can see he had injured his ankle earlier than the time when he fell. Boxing is a tough sport. Was a good fight with both healthy. No need to ruin your body as well as get KO'd trying to show you are Mexican Warrior. Live to fight another day on PBC.

people done forgot Jacobs was getting out boxed by Mora

he was fighting dirty here he was trampleling over him constantly pushing head down with elbow.

the difference in this fight when Jacobs was knocked down, he was in attack mode the aggressor. you don't have to worry about that with GGG. And GGG is a more set target than Mora. a fighter like Jacobs does not look good as a aggressor it's not their styles. he'll look better against GGG. but I still believe he doesnt have enough for GGG, somewhere late I feel GGG will maybe stop him.
