@@johniii8147many shows have a starting point and develop throughout it's existence. This was a standard ensemble cast. And 99% of us fans love all 4 characters not just one of them, btw:Kim fought for equal rights. Just like the actors on Friends. For all 4 of them! You must be young and not have followed the actual unfolding of the situation. Boy am I glad Kim finally got what she deserved when the president of HBO called and made sure she got one million dollars for 2 minutes on film without Sarah! Sarha tried EVERYTHING to destroy Kim's Samantha: the cancer plot, the Dubai plot and the proposed teenager Brady seducing Samantha in the last film which Kim refused! Good job! Most fans are fans of Kim anyway.

@@monapop Yeah I'm a young 55 year old lol. I was there for the whole thing. What we didn't know about at the time was all the drama going on with Kim and SJP at the time. That was under wraps. I don't buy the "equal rights thing". This was ego that SJP was a producer and that star and made more money. It was always set up that way that everything revolved around the character. She got all that in the contract from the start. Smart business move. Kim was jealous. And could for her for getting that million bucks for a bad short scene. Now that was a smart business move to. I respect Kim's decision to move on. Her character wouldn't have played well today anyway.

@@johniii8147 SJP is not a producer at the start though. She renegotiate to have her as a producer later on. Kim is right for asserting what she think is right. After all, it's her who will do the job anyway. When she refused to do Season 7, SATC wrapped. So she is not just a supporting character after all.

No wonder Carrie was/is the least favorite amongst fans. My personal favorite was Miranda. She was about her business. Straight forward, held everyone accountable, friends included. SATC was life changing for a generation of women. I was a young woman watching this and since we didn’t have the internet back then, this is where I learned about sex toys, stds, orgasms, fetishes, masturbation….all those things you were too embarrassed to ask about. But it wasn’t just about sex. It was also about friendship, love, relationships, heartbreak, homosexuality, fashion, cancer, infertility, pregnancy, menopause…you name it, it was in there. The characters were flawed too, just as people are. People like to look down on anything that has a mainly female fan base and dismiss it as garbage. This show changed lives and how women view themselves, their bodies and their sexuality.

I was in my thirties when I started watching the series and thrilled they brought fashion back and stilettos ….I had a lot of beautiful clothes and even more shoes …..fashion had taken a nose dive for women before that show and then came back femininity…it was great…I was a huge fan and my daughter who was a young adult even called me when movie came out and said I’m sure you already know …I said yup ….yessssss it was a great time I was sad to see it go ….

I am a big fan of SATC. I believe Kim has an alfa personolity and she knew her impact on the show. Let’s be honest, without Kim Catrall, sex and the city would not be SATC! She was everything in this show and she asked for it. I am not blaming her for that, and deep down I believe they really had good chemistry. But money and bossy attitudes can ruin any friendship.

That train wreck last year, with the comeback season, ruined my life. Everything good that was S&TC was utterly obliterated. Sadly, I spent the 90s watching a bunch of eventual sellouts. Now when I think of the show, I'm disgusted and want nothing to do with it. Kim Cattrall is the only one who saved face.
