Full Detail Lamborghini Countach: Matt Farah

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Today we detail Matt Farah's Lamborghini Countach in LA 4 weeks before his wedding. The paint is extremely delicate and thin, especially on the edges, and will require a "hand Polish" along the corners prior to using modified larger pads in the middle sections. We also found areas of paint that were single stage as well as 2 stage (clear coated) on the same panel...which added to the difficulty of the project. Huge thank you to Kevin Brown, Derek Bemiss, and Daniel Holinger for their help on the Matts detail. Hope you enjoy! -Larry

One of the few Chanels, which you can watch on the TV and don't notice, that it's on KZread where normally Vlogs are published with minimal effort. Your videos look like a high quality TV Show!

The problem is a lot of youtubers are really really good at what they do, but they aren't very good at translating that into a video format. It's actually rare to find someone who is both a master at their craft AND a master at video production like this.

For a lot of KZreadrs the time and effort doesn't translate into more views and more money, for example Doug and even TST. AMMO and The Straight Pipes are the only channels I can think of with such high production value.

All original cars are unicorns...they might not really exist. I've been to high end car shows where guys are like, yup all original. Then I love pointing to all the areas that have been reworked. Unless the car was moved from new from dealership to vacuum chamber it is not all original. These cars do exist but most people who believe this are wishful thinkers or fools.

None of them anything special other than they are original paint one owner low mile garaged cars. They've all been in pampered storage since. I've been dealing with original paint survivors for 45 years. I can tell you right now very few survive 100% paint work free. The early 50s metallic paints die no matter how pampered. The non metallic paints hold up incredible well and shine with a like new lustre. I've got a vintage flat fender original tub jeep. It had one quicky scuff and shoot my guess in the 1950s the re shoot is so thin the original paint shines thru more than the repaint. It's been molested yet it's still original paint. How or what do you call that?

Why people want this to picked up by mainstream TV? Now it is scripted, filmed, produced like he wants. Quality is better or comparable to TV. We can watch it any time. No commercials we cannot avoid. TV would just make it too mainstream, no nerdy details left, put on commercials and would be hosted by a tv-personality who does not care or get this.

I'm 37 years old and just all of a sudden started really getting into cars. Believe it or not,it was actually a combination of Tesla and Lamborghini that did it. I never knew there would be people that were so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about this aspect of cars. These guys seem as passionate as any racer or collector would be. This is probably my dream car too. Wouldn't mind a Diablo either. Very high quality video, and really in depth. They explain things very well for people that are interested. Some nice camera work too. I can't believe how amazing that paint looked at the end, when it looked like so much of it was coming off and all.

My father designed the sound system for the Countach in the US (as well as all Mercedes of the 80s). It was all done in a small shop on Rt 17 in NJ. Back then, things like this werent that unheard off. Small companies getting big contracts like this. I still have the photos of all these cars coming in, with my father and his friend figuring out how to get all the stuff in these supercars, from 911 Turbos to Ferrari Testarossas, 600SL, and of course the Countach. I loved riding in them when I would visit, so he could test the audio quality with road and wind noise...

That trick with reshaping the pad on the rotary wheel was cool. Never would have thought of it, but it seem obvious after seeing it. The residue containment methods were also pretty neat. I love all these small details.

That is a beautiful Countach. A very rare car indeed. I've remember seeing them brand new back in the day and this one looks every bit as nice. The paint is amazing and reminds me of my 1978 Ducati Darmah which is the same color red. As far as I'm concerned, all the Johnny-come-lately KZreadr's with their Lambos don't hold a candle to this one(there may be one exception). This Countach however is the real deal, and was driven by Valentino Balboni at the factory. This is the car! The 1988 Red/Tan Countach with factory wing! Take good care of her Matt, she's a keeper!

I don't know if I'll ever care for my car the way you do (or frankly, buy your products)- but your attention to detail, knowledge, enthusiasm, and storytelling keeps me watching!
