Wasn't that many years ago where even mentioning VLM in a less than negative tone would get you tarred and feathered on TMF, interesting to see yall have finally caught up with tech from the >80s.

Haha....your comment about not being a miracle worker reminded me of how I sometimes joke with my clients. Sometimes they will ask about a certain spot that is not removable like a cigarette burn and I will say, "This is a cleaning wand, not a magic wand." Or they ask me how well the protector works and I`ll jokingly say, "It works so well that if you spill your coffee on the rug it will bounce right back into your cup! " They get a chuckle out of that.

I've never ever done anything except vacuum clean carpets. And now I want to step up a level from house school cleaner to a professional carpet cleaner and to implement some steam cleaning and high water pressure cleaning as well. My goal in seeing successful people in this business is to learn. Ultimately I'll take all I've learned, and then make my own thing of it. I'll be stuck starting out with one of those Orbiters and some kind of portable unit, but the goal is to work up to bigger and better machines.

What portable do you like? We have a cleaning business that has contracted out carpet cleaning in past but were very interested in adding cleaning waiting room carpets to what we can do as special service a few times a year. Want to invest in the right machine right off the bat and not buy junk.... thanks for your help.

Hello What’s your opinion of the hawk freedom glide? It’s a wheels down forward motion 175 floor machine. I’ve never used a o.p. Only a swing machine that I’m an expert at but it’s kinda slow. I would like to cut time in half

Thanks. Ideally, yes. If you can get it dry before leaving sure. If not the client will suffice with subsequent vacuums.

So is VLM really best for commercial use since they use low profile carpets? Does it also work on home plush carpets? Seems like it would swirl it around and put lots of wear on the fibers. But I have no experience with any carpet cleaning but trying to learn. Thanks

I have seen some videos of the Sprayborg advertising that it can do dry vct wax stripping. What pad would I use for this on the OP and is it as effective as using a stinky and messy wax stripper?

I have a fairly used orbot spray borg for sale in the Los Angeles Area. Works like brand new!

So when you say extract after Encapsulation (you mean add a absorption pad) right? Not HWE 😂

On the low soil areas you could wait on the post vacuum and absorption pad the transition and traffic patterns. You could also do HWE but you would need some powdered de-foamer in most cases.

I love how he was down playing VLM and that hw extraction was the way to go and now pushing VLM now things that make you go hmmmmmm
