    I would love to see a video on how to price specialty stain treatments. Coffee , ink ,mustard ect. Also how to price for urine treatments mild to severe when you have to water claw. I charge by the room to clean to keep it simple for my clients . I wanted your thoughts rob on additional pricing for speciality stains that require additional chemistry that are not in the cleaning price.

    I'm seriously considering a truck mount, however most of my business is as a state contractor/vendor. 10,000-20,000+ square feet office buildings. Our contracts are for daily cleaning and carpet cleaning/ hard floor maintenance is a once or twice a year task. The limited outside access points in such large buildings are a problem for the truck mounted units. Lots of hoses to reach everywhere. Also carpet cleaning is only a small part of the contracts, and we have so many contracts it leaves very little time for side jobs where the truck mount could pay for itself. The few times we've outsourced our carpet cleaning have left me very unsatisfied with the results though, and they've always used plug in extractors. Not even sure they were heated extractors tbh. One thing is for sure, our office carpets see dozens of times more daily traffic than a residential carpet would see. Having a hard time visualizing hoses a city block long to reach everywhere though.

    I'm considering switching to tmf for my full chemical line up. My only hesitance is that I see so many on your truck. I'm a firm believer that less is more, and having the least chemicals possible will reduce risk. Why do you have so many on your van, and what would you reccomend if I only wanted 4 or 5 cleaning solutions and a couple spotters?

  • @TruckMountForums

    @TruckMountForums

    Chris Davies that’s entirely possible. We carry a full line of products on our trucks to fulfill our variety of diverse services. Most rarely get used. Prespray, Unchained and PureO2 can do virtually everything carpet cleaning. Throw in a rinse and uph prespray for furniture and you’re good.

    @@TruckMountForums thank you for the quick reply. My machine doesn't have chemical injection, so my only option for rinse would be to add it to the fresh water tank (and stop using my hydroforce injection sprayer), or not use rinse. What's the downside of not using rinse? I'm guessing greater risk for alkalinity browning because of the high ph??

  • @TruckMountForums

    Chris Davies just do some extra rinse and dry strokes and you should be fine. Plus use air movers.

    I have a question about the grout master. I did the mix and put it on the grout and let it sit for 10min. We wiped it up and it didn't turn the grout back to bright white. This was in a normal house.

    18 inches of mercury is way too high. More than some blowers are even rated for. Think of it like you are drinking out of a straw. When you bottom out the straw, you can’t drink as much. Same applies to this. You don’t want the wand to suck all the way down to the padding. Optimal amount is 12.5-13.

  • @ChumpMasterSupreme

    Not only that. Too much vacuum can over heat your blower, that $3000+ part that is integral to your business.

    If you crash a direct drive, you still can transfer the truck mount into another van lol. It’s not like it has to stay with the van.

    Looks like complete overkill to me I can achieve the same results with a powerful portable a vacuum and a crb. An extraction machine is just to rinse the carpets you will never need more than 300 psi on a regular carpet clean. something a portable can do at a fraction of the cost ..
