Likeable and intelligent with many issues. He's well read, but one can't be an expert on everything. If you want to understand, look at what FDR did. Its the exact same policies and strategies, federal agencies invest in American infrastructure, taxes are raised on the rich to pay for it. The 50s are the most productive and prosperous time in recent memory. What Ro is suggesting is to do that again, just updated for our modern economy. Innovation is spurred by making innovation more profitable for CEOs than stock buy backs. The way you dp that is by taxing their profit much higher, unless it is tied to a new or improved product, the opening of another business, or work that can be demonstrated to make a real improvement in the problems dragging down America like pollution, global warming, corruption, or ignorance. This would mean that makers would be innovating like crazy to get lower tax rates. Problem solved and the bad actors would lose their power because they would not profit from bad behavior and greed.

Indians (from India) is the richest community in USA with average household income of 120K USD. They are not radically conservatives nor liberal anymore. For example most of the Indians don’t do abortion regardless their religion as it is emotionally very challenging for them. So it appears that they respect life (pro-life) like conservatives. However they are the community with lowest average number of children (most of American Indians stick to one or two kids) making them appear like liberals. Most Indian families own at least one electric car that makes them look like climate change agenda supporters. But they all prefer cooking with natural gas making them look like supporters of fossil fuel. Most of the old generation Indians were very conservatives but supporters of Democratic Party as they relished India’s democracy and liberal governments. But new generation Indians in America are now unbiased and stand with common sense. I support Vivek because he speaks common sense and stands for American unity.

Before the AfroAmerican Civil Rights Movement, People of Color were not allowed to immigrate into the United States of any number of notice. It was not until after the AfroAmerican Civil Rights Movement that people of color were allowed to immigrate into the United States of any sizeable number of notice. Hence, it was the hard fought human rights struggle by AfroAmericans who opened the doors for non-white immigrants of any number of notice legal entries into America. It was by no means due to the spirit and intent of the Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty was mounted with the lantern directed toward France and Western Europe welcoming white Europeans. The Indians you cited in your post are in America due to, among the most historic human rights struggles from AfroAmericans in the most powerful country in the world. The incipient infrastructure of Colonial America was built by AfroAmerican slaves. In essence, Colonial America emerged into the nation, and the United States of America would have never occurred. Contrary to popular notions, 35% of the AfroAmerican slave population were considered skilled labor during this era in American history. They were carpenters, masonry workers, blacksmiths, tanners, skilled wood and metal craftsmen, blacksmiths, tanners, construction workers, etc. Benjamin Banneker was not the lone AfroAmerican architect. Moreover, the incipient industrial infrastructure of the United States until the mid-1850s was built by AfroAmericans slaves. The South was reconstructed by freed AfroAmerican slaves during Reconstruction. However, AfroAmericans underwent draconian Jim Crow racism until the late 1960s after the AfroAmerican Civil Rights Movement. The Indian socioeconomic strata you cited presence in the United States are due to the historic human rights struggle of AfroAmericans. Moreover, that socioeconomic strata of Indians were predominately from the minimal number of economic elite families in India. The by far predominant consensus of Indians live in penury in the country of India. It is a rueful fact virtually all immigrants of color, including Vivek Ramaswamy, do not acknowledge or confer appreciative acknowledgment toward AfroAmericans for among the most historic human rights struggles in the most powerful country ever existed in the world.

Experts can be wrong. We have seen it time and time again.

I think Ro Khanna is authentic, but his beliefs depend too much on "an expert's opinion". This has become a pattern in the Democratic party. Experts are worth listening to, but the past 2 years have shown how some experts have ulterior motives and overestimate their own expertise to assume they're 100% right. Most of all, a truly diverse panel of experts will actually disagree on a given topic. This is where true leadership comes in. True leaders listen to the ideas experts provide, but they truly make their own judgement on the matter. Ro Khanna does not appear to operate this way when he references experts as a proxy for his argument position.

I fully believe in climate change. And I drive electric car. However Vivek is right in saying that climate change agenda is simply shifting emissions from USA to China. It does not help global warming and we are not talking about America warming!!! While the rest of fast growing economies continue to burn coal to generate most of their electricity (India 75%, China 60%) and slowly transition to renewable energy by developing such capabilities internally, we buy solar cells and batteries made in China (not made in America) and install them while stopping fracking here and continue to purchase gas from other countries. The climate change agenda simply results in killing industries here and move them somewhere else. Another example is call for single use plastic. Agreed that USA is the second largest producer of single use plastic waste (note that Australia is the number one). However, we are also world’s second largest plastic manufacturer. A single use plastic ban will choke those manufacturers here and consumers will have to buy plastic alternatives from China or Korea. Let us at least give the industries here time & incentives to switch to other modes instead of blindly following a global agenda which only makes China our supplier for everything. In the world stage USA already lost its leadership. Because rest of the world things that we are sellers of weapons to keep some of our industries alive. Most of the world need China and India for our daily survival because almost everything comes from there and the only thing we sell is weapons. The moment a country becomes a nuclear power, they cannot be defeated in any war, even America. So Vivek is right in telling that America has to be that beacon on the hill, an example for the world that everyone loves America as a friend, while also afraid to mess with them. America also lost its power as the leader of democracy. India is. America only interfered to oust dictators of oil producing countries with the fear that they might affect us. Otherwise we should have already ousted dictators in other poor countries. Even when we are supporting Ukraine, and act like we strangle Russia financially, Russia sells crude oil to India and 9% of that flows to USA as refined oil. And we still act like we are supporting Ukraine. Vivek simply reveals all these flogging. But he will not win because neither parties want a CEO who can make this country actually better. Because then those politicians don’t have a future at all.. If the American youth wakes up to that reality, and elect the most intelligent candidate, giving rise to an intelligent nation, whose boarder is safest and who is self reliant for food, water, clothes and technology, then now other country in this earth stand a chance to even raise a finger against America. Gen X and Gen Z don’t want war. We want life! Listen to Vivek.

You are wrong about India. 41% of our electricity generation is from renewables. On the way to 50% and beyond by 2030. Many cities have banned plastic bags. In Pune city where I live vendors don’t give plastic bags. Tata has sold 100,000+ electric cars last year. We have a $10,000 electric car that already has captured 50% of market in its segment. Electric buses are common in Indian cities. We have a long way to go but change is happening without any political debates on “going green” I just don’t understand why Climate change and electric cars are politicised in the USA. Nowhere in the world this is happening.

It’s amusing to see how many show up in front of cameras on Ash Wednesday showing that they’ve been to church. We’ve all seen that the Lord uses non Christian’s, too, for His purposes. Khanna keeps trying to paint Vivek as an isolationist, which is simply not true. Instead, it is a matter of focus. Vivek has sympathy for the world's crisis too, but he has even more sympathy for the American people who are continually sold out to wealthy donors' interests and are perpetual victims of the blowback of decades of disastrous foreign policy--from our "experienced" career politicians. A heavily indebted, morally weak, ill-governed nation is in no position to help anyone, especially when it can't set its own house in order. Vision, energy, spine. Vivek2024!
