After several videos in China, in this video we are going back to NYC for a little bit! Chinese food in Flushing, New York vs Chinese food in China, which is better?

I am from NY and I have been to China, five cities from Beijing to Shanghai to Chongqing and Xian, Guangzhou and overall food in China is far better than in US including Mott Street and Flushing and the quality of meat, fish, seafood and condiments is in a different league.

It all looks delicious! Maybe it's easier to get food from different Chinese provinces in Flushing? I think some ingredients are hard to get in the US, though.

My impression is that it's easier to get a shallow representation of cheap (at least not expensive) Chinese food in Flushing, but it lacks depth. Aside from difficult to get ingredients, there are many varieties you just can't get outside of China because those has a strong local culture. Also there aren't any Chinese food of the upper echelon in US as a whole. There should be a market for those.

Awesome stuff as usual. It would be helpful for us fellow New Yorkers if you could add the names of places and the dishes in the comments! Love your stuff

Thanks! Sure I will add those names in the description. The thing is that some of the places are so small that they don't even have English names but I will include them whenever available and also the Chinese names so at least you can copy pasta in Google 😂
