I like this format. When a build is finished, it makes it nice and easy to watch the whole build from start to finish again.

It’s a treat to watch it as a single, very extended episode. Also, you really appreciate how much work is involved in repairing, modifying, refinishing and reassembling a higher-end car. Personally, I ♥️ the new paint. You won’t lose it in an airport car park. I’m always very interested in BHP and at very least a remap. It’s as good as free extra power, obv it costs on fuel, but only when you bury the pedal into the shag pile. Stage I is usually not noticeable until you drive it in anger, around town it’s as civilised as stock. 20% more BHP & torques, sir? Yes, please😊

The best advice that i learned from Manny Koshbin is don't buy a Super or Hyper car until you have 10 times the price of it in your Bank account, when you purchase a Super car you add a car to your garage but u add also maintenance and unexpected damages that can happen in future

Mat, you are basically making documentaries to the level that you'd see out of a full blown production crew from a major network. I was captivated for the entire 3 hour period. It's crazy to think that they are spending millions to make those films when you are doing this as a 1 or 2 man show. The production value is top notch, please continue to upload compilations like this that take us from start to finish (even if in real time it takes weeks/months!). Thank you!!

I agree 100%. The production value is impressive. the narration, easy going, music choices, well balanced in detail and progress. it's just a really good docu.

This is better than most of the car shows on Netflix/Prime/Disney etc. Give this guy a proper budget, crew and let him focus on the motor magic. Amazing what you can do with passion and personality. God bless from Fiji.

I love this car

I watched this over two days and was totally captivated. Watching the whole process from start to finish seems to tick all of the boxes. The end price is regardless because the car becomes something personal mixed with the achievement and self pride. You've done this car proud, lads! Anyone else would've ripped it apart, and flogged it as spare parts. Well done, and many thanks for posting! 🤟

I really admire the size of Mats balls to take on tasks like this and see them trough to completion while at the same time making banging entertainment for us!

As someone who does these same repairs for a well-known carmaker in the factory, it was interesting to see you work through these repairs.. the roof repair was incorrect but it’ll work just fine. Great job Mat! Loving the long format videos

Great format. I really enjoyed the video. To see the build from start to finish was fantastic. What a showdown and a great result for you & your Porsche.

If it's a reputable body shop they'll fit everything before paint anyway, so you probably saved them some time! Pro tip for keeping that body line: Level out one side of the body line first, in this case I'd do the bottom half first. Then lay a straight line with quality masking tape where the body line should be. Add another layer directly on top of the first. Now you can sand the other side of the body line using the tape as your guide.

The damage looked to me like the driver took a hard 360 degree track excursion into a wall of hay and stanchions. That would explain the roof, rear window and top of the driver side fender damage. FANTASTIC job and wonderful content, as usual!

I was so glued to this video and emotionally invested that I actually was sad at the end because I didn’t want it to end, this is better than studio quality

For a car rebuilder who sells cars to make a profit there is just no financial gain in a car like this, and most cars you take on. But that is where you have that edge. Even if it ends up over budget in the end, you still made money from the content. happy to see cars lik this getting back on the road because of it. well done MAT.

I have no idea how you find the time to do everything. Awesome videos as always, literally the only channel on KZread that I can sit and watch every episode gripped. I'm not even a mechanic but find the whole thing fascinating.

Well it's his full time job to do this.. He should be out in the shop working on it for 10 hours a day, five days a week, minimum.

I really enjoy your videos. To take a broken car that has been given up on, and repairing it to its fullest, is a beautiful thing. I only wish that I lived where you are to lend a hand with my welding and fab skills. Nice work! Cheers!

Hi Mat, the forklift dents on your Camen s were probably done before it went to Copart as they have sponge type buffers fitted to stop metal to metal, plus their forks are wider. Sadly, some recovery yards treat vehicles as write-offs. Keep up the amazing videos.

Watched the whole thing with one break at 1 hour 14minute mark. That was a treat. Great work.

Watched this in 2 sittings. Honestly amazing… felt like I was watching a documentary with a massive budget. Your enthusiasm is captivating… I’ve subbed 😉

Although I’d already watched this all the way through via the playlists. Having it spliced together as 1 video made it seem like a whole new build. What a car, it looks amazing the spoiler and the carbon parts against the yellow just finish it off. I love the fact that it’s a Cayman S a GTS (with the seats) a GT4 and a GT4 RS all rolled into one. The end result is the best of both worlds, a car that is more suitable to the road unlike a GT4 RS but has the looks and presence along with more power than a GT4. Mat as usual you smashed it. Now all you need to do is a 24hr ticket sale and live draw so one of us lucky subscribers can get to enjoy it 😝👍🇬🇧

Loving the vid. With the Porsche bumpers, if they are plastic , you can just use thin aluminium mesh which you can heat in to the bumper with a soldering iron to fix cracks. You need to sand paint off first then plastic weld and fill after

I am tearing through Matt Armstrong videos way too fast and am gonna be gutted when I’ve seen them all.. that GT3 video was next level even though the Lamborghini journey with his awesome Dad was my favourite.. I believe he’s earned every amazing experience he’s had and it’s been a pleasure to watch.. Matt is a legend!

Great video and an awesome rebuild! I think it’s faster than the stock car because of the upgraded exhaust system.

Don’t forget, all things being equal, the PDK Cayman S with equal power will be faster than GT4 with a manual transmission. Especially, in a drag race.

Because you done such a good job on the tint, you get me as a sub. Not to mention the great build and production quality! I never was a fan of Porsche but man that Franken Cayman turned out freaking beautiful. From the giant wing on its multicolored dented back came a track attack beast with amazing lines and a stance that could make you drool. I give it 9 out of 10, there's a point leftover because well, no build is never really finished lol. Thanks Mat, love the car and the video! ✌

OPC is pretty cool there... technical, security, quality, but still PASSION! Refreshing to watch!

I love this format! I don't love waiting for the next ep. and I always forgot that I watched those videos before. So this is a new experience and I love the documentary style of it mostly like wheeler dealers but x100 better!

Holy smokes man! What a project! Very inspiring your energy is contagious. I way appreciate the hard work to film this all and edit etc. the labor invested in the build is substantial and the deferred wages or actual wages paid to your friends is considered I’m sure by the end of the video. I’m 3/4 way through watching. Also for my taste no black roof or side mirrors or rear wing. I love the color but I would have done almost EVERYTHING in the awesome yellow color you chose. Black wheels on the yellow could be the bomb…aloha

For the most part Hannah seems to keep you grounded, loved BMW build when she says maybe put your foot on the brake and car starts. Wish you all the best to you and your crew. Love that you've got the F1 on in the background in your workshop whilst rebuilding this Porsche! I literally noticed it when I saw Verstappen standing on the podium once again! Love the videos, dude they're awesome I love watching these builds.

Soooo....I just sat and watched the entire 2:42:12 of this in one sitting..😆This is just awesome. My first time watching you and I'm hooked! It is so easy to forget that this isn't a BBC or C4 production - you've put together superb quality content. I am so impressed by the work you did on this. I couldn't quite believe you bought that heap! I was super-sceptical when you put the spoiler on - together with the red sections and black sections, the whole thing looked cat piss X bat shit crazy! The respray colour was perfect, wheel choice banging and I have to admit to wanting one of those exhausts and carbon body-kits as well. I was very impressed by Porsche when the car went to them. They were fastidious - their techs know their product. I'm not a Porsche fan at all, but was very impressed by them. I was also surprised by how often buying kit from the main dealer was cheaper than a breaker's yard. My mini needed a new light cluster which I decided to fit myself. Turned out, it was much, much cheaper getting mini to do it than buy the cluster from a man in Estonia selling it on ebay - all the more mad when I can literally see the mini plant in Oxford from my window.

Well done Matt and team Ive been glued to the whole video which has been put together as good as your 718. Can't believe it was the same car when you picked it up from the paint shop. Now you've got that Porsche bug you won't ever shake it. Ive been hooked since buying mechanical repairable 987 Boxster's and have just taken on a 718 with the small engine fire you mentioned !!! First thing to do tomorrow is take out that air filter and check it for leaves and debris because its just a vacuum cleaner being so close to the NS kerb unlike LHD European models and even with the upgraded grill on the intake mine still managed a lot of damage from a cigarette probably thrown out the passenger window at the perfect speed! But thanks again you've given me and now others the bottle not to shy away from the body work projects too! PS Love the colour - its magic!! PK.

why is watching your videos more entertaining and the story well told than a new Hollywood movie?!

I know this is 7 mo old and I have watched it twice. I hate the wing. It isn't the size. It's that the hinges are on TOP of the wing. The top of the wing should be smooth and angled to catch the air just right. It looks like it is on upside down. That being said: YOU DID A FANTASTIC JOB repairing this 718 Porsche. Great job!! 👍

What a build and transformation of the originally damaged car, the air intakes were changed but with second hand ones, so Porsche can't be 100% certain that the side skirts that you fitted have the newer air intake grilles with smaller holes. These videos have so much content from buying the car to driving the car, keep them coming.

These videos inspired me to try and rebuild a car too and i bought a a5 that was in a front end collision its currently in the paintshop and all running
