Hyein's first verse is a masterpiece.

All the songs are SO good and that's exactly why I'm mad that they're so short. There's not one song on this EP that's even 3 minutes long. I can't believe the longest song on the whole EP is only 2 and a half minutes. None of these songs even have a bridge. They're so good but they barely feel like full songs, more like snippets. I really want more, I hope they give it to us on the next release

Fun fact: when ador was hiring people to help make music for new jeans, they had hired a person who has never listened to K-pop. That’s one of the reasons why newjeans always has such refreshing songs that don’t just sound like repeats of other K-pop songs.

ASAP is perfect for Alarm❤ such a lovely voice for a good morning

The songs are a bit shorter than I expected, but the album has been on loop on max volume for hours in my room. It's catchy and cute and NewJeans never fails to impress. I wish Cool With You was a bit longer, but I can settle for a loop. New Jeans is perfect for late night writing sessions and has a calmness to it which I like. ETA is what I was waiting for, and I was very satisfied by the MV and the song itself. I've found myself singing Super Shy ever since it came out, and it's one of my favorites. Get up surprised me, as I thought it was a song, and I think it could have been longer, but I still love the album very much. It was so perfectly sprinkled in jazziness and god i wish it was longer. ASAP needed to be longer as I really liked it. Hyein's first part in Cool With You is literally so good but what really impressed me was Danielle's part right after, it was more mature sounding and very jazzy and showcased Danielle's lower voice, which I'd love to hear more of. Hanni never fails to impress with her angelic vocals and I love her chorus for Super Shy along with her other lines in the song. Minji could have used more chest voice with her rap parts for some extra baddie vibes, but the rap was still sweet, it would also sound cooler if the parts were longer and she didn't break every few words, but she's a great singer and rapper, they all have very sweet voices and Haerin is by far my favorite. However Danielle may end up as my Bias Wrecker. I can't wait for their next bop

All of these songs are amazing. But can we please stop complaining about the length of the songs. They all worked hard and we should be grateful for the songs they make no matter how long they are❤

I am not gonna lie. This is an album full of good ideas. The problem is not what it did, but what it didn't do. Add a bridge, add some spice, they have a next time. Probably my harshest opinion on this is only half the songs hold their own (ETA, Super Shy, and Cool With You), the rest, while pleasant sounding, are filler. And half the album should not be filler.

의상도 영상도 음악도 감도 좋은 사람 총 집합이라 애매하게 묶어낸 느낌이 잘 없었습니다. 한국 아이돌 음악은 워낙 많은 인원이 투입되기 때문에 퀄리티는 좋지만 곡의 정체성은 짬뽕인 경우가 많은데 250 프로듀서 색깔이 잘 묻어있어서 좋더라구요

Their songs are always growers to me. I don't like like at the first listen, but end up liking it after the 2nd or 3rd liston.

Just hear the album as one REALLLYYYY LONGGGG song guys lol. Tbh I always listen to songs by the entire album instead of cherry picking. The tracks are listed in the order for a specific reason- has a nice flow and tells a story. Also, it just feels ‘complete’. Anyways hope everyone still is able to enjoy new jeans’ new album ☺️☺️

Their songs are short. But I found out their names is New Jeans. So it makes senses they want to give us something new, fresh and beyond expectation. They break the rules and make the new rules in their songs.

all in all a great second EP. Their vocals are a real dream and they should lean into that. They really dont need to rap because i feels out of place half the time. Also Get up needs to be a full song. I was so excited about ASAP, but the arrangement is off. It was not what I expected, but im sure i will be in love with it after a few weeks.

My ranks: 1. Cool with you (PERFECTION. MASTERPIECE. BEST NEWJEANS' SONG SO FAR. 10/10) 2. Get up (SUPERRRR GOOD but why so short... it's like less than a minute. 9.9/10 only because it's short) 3. NewJeans (PERFECT for an intro but not really as a song to me. 9/10) 4. Super Shy (Really cutesy sounding but will slowly become annoying after a while. 8.6/10) 5. ASAP (idrk why many people hate on this song. maybe i just have bad taste but it sounds perfectly fine to me, though it didnt really land on my expectations. 8.4/10) 6. ETA (it's not bad, it's pretty good but it doesn't really match the "calm" vibe this whole album has. 7.8/10) Overall : 8.8/10 (not the best album but not the worst either, i really like the concept of the powerpuff girls and the member's voice sound really soft and dreamy! Pretty good for an album i'd say.)

Super Shy - The choreo for this song goes hard and overall it's such a happy song, i love it :) 5. ETA- I loved the vocals SOOO MUCHHH and I'm ngl I like this as much as the other songs in top #4 but I haven't listened to this one as much but it will probably change bc I love this song sm 6.
