Nice job on this one! Th ask for taking us along! I use the app to download photos from my X-T3 and V every week. Make sure your phone and camera are up to date. 1. Navigate to your phone's WiFi settings page 2. Power on X100v 3. On the camera menu, navigate to Shooting Settings > Wireless communication and hit OK 4. On the phone, connect to the X100V 'network' 5. On the camera, hit Menu/OK to continue connection to the phone 6. On the phone, navigate to the Fujifilm app 7. Select the images to download from the camera and hit the 'Import' button 8. On the phone, hit OK 9. Power off camera and enjoy your images

Thank you, Musabbir! It was important to me to talk about them since there's so much BS out there about this camera that is simply not true. Autofocus is great, battery is great, and I'm honestly now thinking about the Fujifilm X-S20 for travel since I love the X100V so much! Thanks for watching, and for commenting! 🙌🏻

Hah, thanks Kevin! Always glad to have you here bro. 💪🏻
Loved mine and sold it, here's why. It turns out that I am a long lens type of guy. I really enjoy the compression that big glass gives to an image. As you said in the opening part of your video the X100v doesn't give you that. I owned it for long enough to realise that the images I was taking were not giving me any buzz. Boring is another way of saying it. I found myself taking a series of images, then merging them together and then cropping the "B Jesus" out of them looking for something and not finding it. As an aside this method does give great stadium images but it is limited. When looking at street photography photos I am drawn to what turns out to have been taken with long glass. It wasn't something I thought about until I bought and tried the X100. The main part of my photography has been shooting equestrian sports and I have been lucky enough to have owned some truly beautiful lens, 200-400 f4, 200 f2, 70-200 f2.8 and a 500 f4. I sold all my Nikon gear and moved back to Fuji where my digital life began with a fuji S5000 many year ago. When I sold the X100 I purchased a XF 100 - 400. I have also recently purchased the Viltrox 75mm f1.2 which I intend to try out as a street lens. It is not the longest piece of glass I know but maybe it will get me closer to where I'm trying to get. I was chasing something new when I bought the X100v but I never achieved satisfaction with it. It really is a stunning little camera and I always enjoyed picking it up, but that is never a reason for owning such a tool, it has to scratch that itch. For those looking at such a camera or lenses that are in the 24mm range I would ask what are you drawn to. Take a little bit of time and study some photos. You might well find that you too are a "Long Lens" type of guy.

Hi Will! First of all, thank you so much for your comment and for watching! I absolutely know what you mean. I'm usually in the Sony video system (A7S III) and my favorite lens there is the 24-70f2.8 (Mark 2). There's a bit of compression in there on the long end of course, but nothing compared to something like a 70-200 or 200-400. Compression can't be simulated, so it sounds like you did the right thing. Meanwhile, I've low-key fallen in love with Fujifilm. Now that the X-S20 is out, I'm thinking about it every day. I'm just unsure if I want a smaller camera that does everything I want (10bit, FLOG2, 5-6k, open gate), or if I want the full package on the X-H2. I'm also worried about the autofocus still. Well, thanks a lot once again for the elaborate comment and for watching!

@@TechWandererYT As I am not a pro photographer I don't find the auto focus hit rate a problem, no system is perfect for what I shoot so I can live with that. Coming off of the back of shooting Pro Nikon gear for many years the major difference I see within image quality is the out of focus background. On some occasions it seems to be more distracting than it should be. So at that point any distraction is unwelcome. It can seem artificial. Maybe it is me just being to picky but it does impede my ability to crop as I might wish. Some might say it is a monitor problem but I use a old School 27 inch iMac with 5k screen so that rules out that. Disregarding everything else the feeling you get from holding and using the X-T style can't be beat. The X--H is more akin to other brand. The X-T line up looks good and feels good. Maybe that more than enough when the technical margins are so small these days. Be lucky stay safe.

Thank you so much! I'm trying to convince Fujifilm to give me an X-S20 loaner. If they do, I'll do a real life comparison (travel focused) on it against my A7S III, which should be a fun one!

I really like the content edit, the video and photos but the sky is hard to like. Maybe this the weather or I need to get use to camera colors. The blue/white sky is hard for me
Please tell me if I can shoot a video in the same settings as in the photo or in the video the colors and the picture as a whole will already look different?

Hi Johnny! Film simulations are available for video in all (or most?) Fujifilm cameras, however, in limited form. I haven't tried them myself yet since video on the X100V is borderline unusable due to the complete lack of stabilization. However, cameras like the X-S20 for example are made for this. Not all options (like clarity etc) are available for video. But some are, and the general base colors of the simulations are also. Thanks for watching!
I just wish I could find one!

Honestly the process of finding one is overrated. I have two now, and it’s really easy. Just give your number to a bunch of shops. That’s how I got mine. Might take 3-4 weeks but they’ll find one for you. 🙏🏻

Hey Jakekaj, first of all thank you for watching! The X100V is a really great camera. So if it’s in your budget, and you like to shoot film-like colors, then yes absolutely. However, since it’s really hard to find in shops (it’s usually sold out), and it’s about US$1200-1500, there may be better options for beginners. What type of photos would you like to take? I could probably give you some options. It also matters if you’d like to record video as well, because the X100V is really bad for video for example. Thanks again for watching!

@@TechWandererYT I really want to try photography as a hobby, any camera you can suggest? I like photos like the fujifilm produce.
@TechWandererYT
Жыл бұрын
@@jakekaj111 the easiest answer is your phone. It you have a rather modern smartphone, from the last few years, chances are it can take great photos. The film look can be simulated on phones. I’m actually planning a video on that right now, so keep an eye on that! When it comes to dedicated cameras, there’s a few out there that can do the trick. But I always say that the most important skill to master is your composition, which you can totally do on your phone. 💪🏻 Check out “Dehancer” on your phone, tor example. They do an amazing job simulating film on your phone.
If you can get one, without being hosed....i wonder what's the reason y fuji is not producing more...amazon has sellers asking for double the orig price....hello?

DO NOT BUY IT on the secondary market! It's hard to get, BUT I got two by now. Just put your number on the waiting list in a few shops, and you'll get it within 2-3 weeks max! Absolutely DO NOT buy it for the increased price.

Hahaha nah. I actually bought my first one really close to retail, and the second one for retail, brand new. It’s not that hard to find anymore. It’s sold out everywhere, but every shop gets a few every week or month. So if you really want one, it’s easy to get it for the normal price.
