The 500mm lens is actually a lot smaller than I expected!

Even if you look at it by full-frame standards, it's still pretty small and really light for a 500mm!

That’s because it’s 5.6 the smaller the aperture the bigger the lens.

This lens is not impressive at all. This is exactly 400mm f4.5 full frame equivalent. Nikon already has that lens which is even much smaller and cheaper!
So far the best review of this new Fuji camera.
A clear radio host voice in twelve yr old looking face. Pretty amazing.
The handheld video shootings are insane ! The stabilization seems so effective
You did a FANTASTIC job describing this new offering from Fuji! Excellent video...excellent presentation!
I want a 100s it’s still an amazing camera
Nikon Z9 with Nikkor Z 400mm F4.5 VR S. This is a real combo for sport and wildlife photography. The GFX system is great for slow paced photography.
05:15 haha i love your humor.. it's weird they put that small micro HDMI on that giant camera

Let's just say I have rather strong opinions about Micro HDMI's 😂

Let them save GFX100II, bro! Lol
your review is so interesting!
Oh boy oh boy! The 500mm looks awesome, I was very excited about this when it was announced last year. Is that an arca Swiss foot that’s on the collar? Think it’s time to update my 100s!
mmm... goyard pattern texture look very nice
awesome :)
I wouldn’t be surprised if Fuji comes out with an even bigger lens, say a 600mm. I say this coz how compact and light weight this 500mm is. If they make a larger lens, definitely this puts gfx into wildlife category.
Can you please do a review for the Fujifilm Fujinion 150-600mm xf lens?
can it take in the 1.4 extender?
Suara awak ..sangat mengkagumkan
I want this lens to work on my xt5 pls
Newer to the Fuji GFX system..so what exactly is the "S" line compared to the regular "100" and now the old "R" bodies in terms of overall usage..and what they are meant for? like for some other brands i.e Sony "S" is their "video" focused line and "R" is their stills and high resolution line the 9 is their sports focused camera..etc etc...just curious because its the same "megapixels" and processor..etc subtle differences..like what is the point of getting one over the other?..the differences does not seem substantial like other brands have "specific" lines and purposes....besides the price point and labeled the 100 as the "flagship" as a consumer why would I get or pick one over the other?..thanks..

S is physically smaller but same image quality. Smaller size does mean some compromises in features though. R is rangefinder style body.
Weighing a GFX on an Acaia Lunar, that's flexing 😂
No way that GFX can AF fast enough
The 500mm must be a rebranded Sigma Lens !?

I have the same thought, but on Bob Tonelli review this lens is a little taller so I don't think they are one lens. 500mm f5.6 is not that rare as Nikon also has one

It's not. Completely different optical design.
@Bayonet1809

It is not, but the optical design is actually closer to the Nikon Z 400/4.5, although that is undoubtedly a coincidence.

So upsetting they released it just 6 months later than 100 II Packed with almost the same things for photography and the price is $2500 cheaper. Fuji... 😢

Very true that the difference is small when it comes to stills - the 100 II is really set apart by its video capabilities.

Can take solace in that the 100ii isn’t overflown with buffer after a series of bursts

Micro HDMI 😂😂😂
It DOES in fact share the same IMX461 as every other 44*33mm 100mp sensor equipped camera. There is no high speed variant. Both the 100S II and 100II use readout mode 0 at 12 bit to get framerate. The 'higher dynamic range' is due to black point clipping and an artificial pull 80 mode. Just google Jim Kasson black point clipping and you'll find the truth. All these youtube experts regurgitating Fujifilm's lies have a lot to answer for.

Sensor is one thing the hardware that use it is another. It may very well be faster. Bet none of them know anything about hardware and bottlenecks. Got none respects for those wannebe "Experts" F... fuji haters. Really astonishing how much hate Fuji gets when they make ground breaking products. Whiney crybabies😮 they are the ones that should be accounted for tons of BS that they said about the 40mp

@thomasbuhrkall969 really astonishing that fanboys always talk about "groundbreaking technology", when there's only a small step forward. A slightly improved version of the old sensor. The AF system still years behind the competition. Almost all GF lenses with old, loud and slow AF motors, so they remain the bottleneck, even when there's a faster CPU, if someone wants to shoot faster moving subjects.
@thomasbuhrkall969

@@lumberjack3008 That is coming from the no skill cult of crybabies
The evf comparison is straight up lying at worst or disingenuous at best
Fujifilms AF and tracking system remains crappy, years behind the competition. If they fix it, it's gonna be an interesting system. But most GF lenses have very, very slow AF. So better AF or a faster camera has limited effect.
