China is not pakistan Cruise missiles are highly unstealthy, making them easy pickings for CAP fighters and not to mention the escorting ships. If you even consider 30% sucess ratio of HQ10 against brahmos. They will shoot down 8 missiles per ship. That makes 40-48 alone defended by the escorts plus 6 from the carrier’s air defense. So 60+ missiles would be needed to saturate the air defenses. And this is only considering the short range air defense missile, long range hhq-10 missiles and CIWS are also there. But the most important advantage they will have after inducting a flat top, is the KJ600 AEWAC and their fighters will be able to takeoff with their full payload capacity
