U r true, in ls election people gave majority to bjp / nda, so it is the duty of central government to reduce central tax, so that can keep fuel price at sane rate. Even if siddaramaiaha / congress hiked, rate which is less than in south India, which is ruled by indi alliance / congress. Moreover siddaramaiaha is not taking money for self, it will be given to poor people in form of 5 guarantee & state need money to development. Moreover, while bommai was cm he reduced ₹ 7, per ltr, but siddaramaiaha increased only ₹ 3. Still siddaramaiaha has chance to increase another ₹ 4 to make it equal of south state. Actually target was ₹ 10, so karnataka can stand first in fuel price. In another way, instead of taking loan for freebies & clearing it with intrest ( 1 to triple), hiking all price, & giving back poor as freebies is good decision. No minister is taking home this money. All paid back to people. Only they need power to rule
