Hearing your Dad talk about the various jobs he had, including delivering newspapers in the middle of the night, is a poignant reminder of personal values that unfortunately are too often forgotten in current times. Your Dad worked those jobs to make sure his family was provided for. The memories are golden.

Having ran out of gas myself back in the day, I laughed at that idea myself too, probably how I would have played it.

“I was forever running out of gas- I mean it was just my lifestyle back in those days.” 😂 Then you go and re-enact him running out of gas!😂 Your dad’s laugh is pure gold!

Wonderful childhood memories

Your Dad laughing about running out of gas made me laugh. My Father passed several years ago so make all the memories you can and God Bless.

As someone who lost his Dad to cancer 6 years ago, I'm really enjoying watching you spend this time with YOUR Dad Adam - Enjoy it and cherish the memories.

Your dad's laughter as you completed the running-out-of-gas adventure absolutely made my morning!

@@TheDailyWoo Niceville and Val-P are called The Twin Cities, my grandmother lived there until she passed away, we used to have our family reunions at Boggy Bayou State Park every year, this brought back a lot of memories for me, I haven't been back there since my grandmother passed, do they still have the walk ways under the streets? I believe they were near a school on Hwy 85

@@broseph56 the walkway under the street is still here. The school is Edge Elem. Was Niceville High way back when, my Dad graduated from there in 1956. My daughter went to the same school early 90's.

Adam, I lost my Dad last Sunday. You and I are the same age and somewhat alike. I knew dad was leaving us sooner than soon but we had spoke at length of going on a roadtrip from Mobile to the Pacific NW so he could see Portland and Seattle and everything along the way. This series is going to be good therapy for me , so thanks.

Welcom back to Niceville! Sorry the weather didn’t corporate. It’s crazy how different the weather is here compared to central Florida. Our family is loving this series. Hopefully it will motivate others to go down memory lane with their parents. What a gift!

How funny that your Dad would tell a story about how he ran out of gas and then later in the vlog the two of you had trouble finding gas to fuel up the Woo Mobile for the next leg of your journey! Great to see your Dad, he looks like he is doing well.

I was raised by my grandparents and they both passed. So it's hard for me to find someone I can relate to for personal history. Although I'm viewing this vicariously thru your eyes, nostalgia still pulls at my heartstrings of days gone by.

These videos with your Dad pull at the heartstrings and are wonderful to watch.

Did not want it to end. Cannot wait for your adventures tomorrow. Loved the train footage. My dad worked for REA/Railway Express Agency and Me and my 4 siblings spent many hours at his office watching them load. A lonesome train whistle is to this day my favorite sound.

I remember when I was maybe 10 years old, my father would frequently run out of gas down the street from the gas station so I would get in the driver's seat and steer the car while he pushed it. Oh my.

Im finally taking a dream roadtrip to Disney from NH on Monday, and this shortage has me nervous. What a time to be alive!

The lemon story is priceless-I am quite sure there is a movie script in your childhood memories, or a book. I absolutely loved the pictures of your boyhood-thank goodness your mom and dad took all those pictures. Recreating the Adams street sign picture was the absolute best.💙

Your dad is so cute! Great memories. Loved Po Folks! Kids ate for free on Tuesday back in the day. Burt Reynolds was one of the original partners. We also had to rent a VCR player, I’ll bet you never felt poor either!

This is a wonderful trip down memory lane for you and your dad. My dad and I took a very abbreviated but meaningful tour around OCMD just before he suddenly passed. I treasure that time to this day, as I know you will.

Loving this series! Nice work Adam and Dad. I smile from beginning to end of these videos. My daughter and I were hysterically laughing at the out-of-gas reenactment! The fact that Dad the Woo remembered it perfectly was amazing.

Here I sit at nearly midnight watching two men whom I never met revisiting memories of places I’ve never seen. I’m loving every second of it. Thank you, Adam. You have an amazing gift of storytelling.

Adam, I have taken two long road trips with my dad to see different areas of the USA. Both are treasured memories. So happy that you are having a road trip with your dad.
