Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

After replacing the fuel pressure button on your 855 Cummins PT pump you may need to adjust the fuel flow on the pump as well.

Personally, i found that changing the button was much more noticeable than turning that screw out.

the button gives it the pull power blue spring with 6 or 7 shims is a good rpm setting for 2300 to 2400 rpm which is fine for a cummins ... no lower then a 20 button unless u plan on driving ur own truck and don't put more then 1 and a half turns of rail pressure on that screw u will burn a hole in a piston when u see black smoke it's burning the piston let it breath taking off don't floor it after that then u can let it do what it's gone do but she will still get hot keep ur Pyro below 750 degrees u can let it get that hot for spurts but never hold it there for any motor period

Exceeding 1000°F is when you enter the danger zone of EGTs.

Tip for young players, make a drill guide, a bit of steel about 1/2" thick drill a 1/8" or so hole right thru then a hole the dia of shaft 1/3 to 1/2 way thru, slip this over shaft then drill thru hole this will hold centred on convex plug and a lot less drill breakage

What does the button do for instance if I get a 40 versus a 7 button or a double 00

+Sho Time, The screw raises the fuel flow and the button raises the pressure. I'm fine with giving advice on the 250 used in military trucks but when it comes to a 400 big cam in a commercial application I strongly suggest having a qualified shop rebuild the pump for your specific application. That being said if you still want to proceed on your own..... Remove your current button and look for the number etched on the side. Then drop it by 7 to 10 to start seeing noticeable results. Again I can't stress enough that I really think in a commercial application you would be much better served using a professional service.

You could just grind it down so that the rim holding the ball in is no longer there.
