Yes, 100% agree, the only thing I made different is put new o rings in all the injectors every time I clean them.

I was pretty shocked at how easily this worked! I actually used a 9 volt battery to do it. Crazy! Thank you so much for this video!

I owned a used car lot for several years and cleaned many injectors, but I did it a more compilated way. I used a phone charger for my power source and I would fill the injestor with carb cleaner, but when I touched the electrical terminal I would also hit it with some air pressure (60psi) with my air hose with a nozzle tip. It worked fine, but your way is easier. I like to see this sort of thing. When I was doing this at my used car lot there was a man who worked at the local Auto Zone who owned a EXXON staion for many years and he said injectors can't be cleaned, you must replace them. Well, you and I know better. Thank you for sharing.

For even better cleaning effects you should also apply the cleaner from the side of the nozzle. It helps removing dirt which is stuck inside the injector but which is too big to go out through the nozzle.

Very helpful video and straightforward. I would only add you should prime the fuel rail to get rid of any air pockets after cleaning. This is easily done by removing the main HT (sparkplug) wire and turn over the engine (starter) for a few seconds

Modern vehicles prime the fuel system when the ignition is turned on. Key on, wait until you hear pump stop, key off, repeat 👍

@@AS-pu7gj No, the process does not inject any fuel or activate the injectors. This process is often referred to as "priming" the fuel system and has the effect of filling and pressurizing the fuel rail. Air remaining in the system becomes compressed by fuel pressure and naturally locates itself at the highest possible point since gasses (air) are less dense than liquids (fuel). Starting the vehicle activates the injectors as normal and the remaining air is expelled into the motor by normal operation. Performing this procedure should result in normal to slightly extended cranking times. Diesels and direct injection motors with metal lines branching off of a common rail tend to require more cranking time than vehicles with injectors directly mounted on a fuel rail and is normal. So there is no need to soak or take injectors appart,or back flush other direction? I just received one rebuilt injector and rebuild kit for the 4 injectors on my 2.5 l Nissan...on my car i will need to remove my intake manifold to get to injectors..i have those gaskets on the way..thanks for sharing

Hi, really good, straightforward explanation. Can this method be used on a common rail diesel? My concern is the very high fuel pressure at the rail and injectors. At rest, the pressure sits at around 3600psi. I refer to a 2008 SsangYong Rexton RX270 XVT (5 cylinder Mercedes Benz engine). Thanks for your advice and time.

Any lube will be fine as long as it is oil based. Engine Oil, Tranny Oil or some sort of spray lube

You shouldn't need to lube port injectors. But, if you have to for some reason, use transmission assembly grease. Don't use anything else. Its the safest way to go, by far. For the spark plug holes, use a thread chaser. You can get one that's made to be used on spark plug threads. Any auto parts store should stock them. But you need to be careful. Its very easy to strip the threads on an AL head. Get a small piece of rubber fuel line. Attach a spark plug to one end, and use that to get them started. Once you are sure that the plug is going in properly, you can then use a socket to finish tightening them.

Is it possible to do this with Honda CRV 2017 ?

Nicely Explained Video , One thing i would like to ask , how about if we clean injectors in reverse direction first , in that way filters can be cleaned and may be we dont need to remove filters and than we clean it from filter side so that injector heads also gets cleaned. What do you suggest ?

Hi I want to clean my fuel injectors on a gen 2 Toyota Prius 2008 could I just not use a fuel injector adaptive put it in to my petrol tank instead?

What were yhe filters called that you used and replaced inside of each of the injectors i drivr 2019 prius and ive been expereincing a drop in fuel economy from 50 down to 39 mpg so im gonna try doing this to see if its the main problem

They called basket filters, most of fuel injector have that but not all

Hello. Great video. What would be the problem with doing this on the car, but disconnecting the LPFP in the tank, and filling the fuel rail with solvent. Then starting the engine? Would that have a similar effect?

good question. it would be so much simpler to use the car to fire the injectors. Even if it meant running the tank close to empty and having to change the oil.

Great diy content as usual. Is this just an alternative way to the last video when you didn't remove the rail. Are both methods just as affective? Also are injector filters usually generic for all injectors?

Yes exactly, it works the same, the good thing about this, you will be able to change the filters, and seeing the spraying pattern getting better, which is so satisfying lol Yes, so far, all the fuel injector filters I have replaced were the same

Hello bro, I am from India , i bought a brand new VW polo 1.2 tdi in Dec 2011 , now it has completed 1lac 23 thousand kms, with all services done from the authorised VW workshop, should I also clean my car's injectors ? As the company engineers donot recommend to open the injector unless it's showing any fault in the computer scanning ? Plz guide 🙏🙏🤗🤗

Hello can a fuel injector cleaner goes inside fuel tank?

I use texron or stp super concentrated injection clean one bottle on a quarter tank of gas sometimes 2 bottles and get on the freeway and put the pedal down for a bout 5 miles and then go to the gas station and fill up the tank
