Yes I was hoping to get a teleporter before S8... I had nights and one system slot saved up.. wellp.
Phase 1 I played like absolute garbage for lots of reasons... I should have bombed the first boarders with nights in the systemless room. I should have never let my augmented get hit by boarders, I should have noticed moving the augmented would depower my harbinger. I should have swapped my payload and harbinger when payload was about to shoot to prevent it going offline right before shooting (i thought it would be in time..) and 5:25 .. oof laser. I could have done some extra micro with defense 3 & battle 2 drones.
I went with defense drone in case I get too many boarders on the drone-side of the ship, then I could still prevent them from destroying cloaking/shield/drones (my vital systems). I decided to shoot their teleporter first for the same reason. I hacked mind control right off the bat because it is guaranteed to control my augmented (Nights and Advanced Cognitive are immune) which is my weapons guy and i can't have him attack it . Good guy Sylvan sold me defense 3 in S8 to replace my defense 2 big carry. Hull repair also insanely useful for limit 4.
Phase 2 smooth. defense 3 and cloaking are stronk. Also harbinger drone big damage. (I had mender on at first cuz im dumb.)
Phase 3: Harbinger drone for removing the shield extra fast. Played quite well aside from P1 and the fuckup in p2. :D
No savescumming was done.

Honestly if I were on the Flagship and saw someone pull up in The Limit 4, I'd shit bricks. Because despite being aware that the ship being weak as shit, I know that the guy controlling it who made it all the way to Sector 8 has a plan.

@@kajetus0688 Crew: Captain I think that's the ship that destroyed everything in our stronghold back in Sector 7, even the flagship under construction...

bro, ive been trying to beat the limit 1 on hard-extreme, and im questioning weather its possible or not. I finalyl decided to do it on easy-casual, but i only won because i got the onslaught sector 1. Great vid though, good job.
Heart attack on 5:30 because of split second delay with cloaking Good job completing the game on this ship btw I still struggle to unlock literally anything cos game decides to give me quests on last two jumps in sector 7( i had 7 central shipyards and only 2 engineer events, as well as i've been to mantis hive about 10 times and only 1 time i had proper boarding ship against *instert Kazaak's full name here* and that one time i wasn't able to continue quest cos final boss sector jump in 3 beacons ), so i'll probably be way too pissed to play the game by the time i unlock limit 4

I feel you... Ive failed to get morph ship 4 times now becaise sector 7 or one time the forst qiest in the last sector and thelast one in the one before it type of thing. Rng can be a bitch xD
in many ways this ship seems superior to the Limit 3... other than tiny hull, no innate venting and the weird af split in the middle... in general i dont think i'll ever bother the limit challenges it just doesnt look fun, too much absurd micro and too many perfectly done and rolled quest chains... im curious, can you do a sector 1 sylvan in a non elite ship?

Hmmm I'm not sure I havent actually tried... also personally I enjoy all the micro and challenge of the Limit ships :D As for perfectly rolled quests, far from that, I restarted a bunch to get a decent sector 1 start, but I got every limit completion after only 1-5 tries that past Sector 1 (although I will admit i got lucky a lot)

@@Zephode yea, i know how it works, our s1 has to be basically perfect to even have a HOPE of making it.... its sort of like vanilla ftl with zoltan type B or mantis type B

Brayach Dragonbane Zoltan B isn’t great but Mantis B is a top tier ship. 4 shields, defense drone, and teleporter? Perfection. Watch for a few good weapon compliments over the course of the run and you’re golden

@@jackgraham5555 untill you meet auto ships before getting a weapon... both ships are great once you clear the 'threshold' but they are suck till you can... also, mantis b only has 2 crew

Brayach Dragonbane Even in those scenarios, the mantis B is unlikely to take any damage and it needs so little to get going you’re fine to just miss the scrap on autoships and anything with a Zoltan shield. The extra scrap bonus from boarding victory after boarding victory should really bring home the bacon as the game ramps up (plus the 4 tile teleporter is amazing, the ship seems designed for you to leave it undefended while you board and it scales amazingly into the late game)
This was amazing, what a run! Now Tracking Flares is only 30 seconds, so I wonder if this would still work. How in the hell would you ever do this vs Sylvan?

Now do Sylvan, sector 1, no hit, no pause and under a minute with this ship... Just kidding (though if you do it that would be amazing).
what is worse, the limit 3 or 4?

3 for sure. With 4 you need to be very careful of not getting softlocked on drone side but its still overall easier.
