FSG IN BORDEAUX TALKS | What does it mean for Liverpool?
It emerged this week that Fenway Sports Group are in talks to buy French second-tier club Bordeaux.
And so Liverpool reporter David Lynch is here to take a deeper look into the details behind this potential deal.
That includes examining why Bordeaux have been picked out as an ideal club to buy, and the impact this move could have on the Reds.
Make sure to let us know what you think about FSG's first concrete move towards establishing a multi-club model in the comments.

What are your thoughts on FSG's move for Bordeaux? And can it benefit Liverpool?

It will benefit Liverpool, that’s why they are doing it, however, it’s a 115 city move for me, not keen on it.

It's very interesting move. I don't have any rejection about this. Few years ago it's not something we as football fans keen about, however world change. There're hundred clubs included, and it'll add more and more. If it'll bring good for liverpool and help us competitive in the future, go ahead. Also Bordeaux profile reminds me about liverpool conditions before FSG took over. They also have many great legends. If we can grow together, it's great. Everything's change and whoever doesn't adapt with it will leave behind.

I am not in favour in any owners having interests in more than one team. I think it corrupts the game. I know it is common these days, but i am just not in favour of it.

@@davidlynchlfc if they were in the same league/division I would agree, but different countries, managed separately, I don't see an issue.

I'm supporter of Bordeaux... Please help us we are so tired... We are a football city with a great infrastructure, and a beautiful stadium, we have an excellent training center, with young people emerging like Aurélien Tchouaméni and Jules Koundé. We are a legendary club that has fallen very low...

I hope FSG do right by Bordeaux like they did to LFC and hopefully, Michael Edwards does his magic for them with a lesser budget (presumably) than he had in LFC. It'll benefit Liverpool definitely but hopefully for Bordeaux as well becoming French football giants once again.

FSG purchasing Bordeaux will have ZERO effect on our transfer business this summer. Why is this so hard to understand? They’ve been here 14 years now and they don’t put money into the club for transfers. It’s not suddenly gonna change over night is it?

FSG whoever it is with the money should invest a little in the team, I know we have a good squad but experienced players at top club level so at least if we encounter injuries games close together we can at least have a proper balance. What happens with the contracts for Salah, VVD & TAA also is Diaz going or staying?

I don't love the idea, but it's a reality of the game now. Hopefully Bordeaux will get more out of it than just becoming our feeder club. Surprised they've gone for a French club though, that league is a basket case, even if people do keep pressing the "big five" myth.

I think because France clubs open the gate for talents from Africa. Even tho their league not that competitive because PSG, they still grow good talents every year

We've known this was coming and it definitely wont be the last club purchased. One of the most disgusting parts of modern football and a step towards making us exactly like City, PSG, Chelsea etc. and no better than their horrendous decision to join the super league. Sadly, a wildly effective step for the clubs involved in multi club ownership.
