FS 508 Siren Test Hamilton, OH 10/4/17
Ойын-сауық
Siren: FS 508 AC/DC, 2.3 RPM, 482 Hz
Town: Hamilton, OH (Butler County)
Location: St. Stephen's Cemetery
Test Time: 1st Wednesday 12 PM every month
Cycle: 3 minutes of alert
Other notes: While I was doing my ambiance shot, I left my Sony in this cemetery to record one of Hamilton's new 508s. They bought 3 of these back in 2014 to mostly add coverage for the city. Most of the old sirens remain in place, except for the high pitched 4/5 port one Bill recorded back in 2012, which was removed.
Butler County is comprised of many 2001-SRNs, a few 2001-130s and 2001-SRNBs, a few Hamilton County T-128s, a few EOWSs, some 508s, a few older Federal and Sterling sirens, 5 Thunderbolt 1000Ts, and the lone HOR Super Sirex.

Andy A it's an older camera that's got several problems with it so I don't mind leaving it out alone, plus the tripod I use with it is a pain to use. If it gets stolen, Im not gonna shed much tears over it.

Funnily enough, it did get stolen about a month after this was taken, but again, I didn't shed much tears over it.

TommyBNSF Really? I feel nervous just leaving my Audio Recorder. Did they steel the camera as well?

The camera and tripod. I left it at a 2001 in Macomb, MI last fall and when I came back it was gone. But again, it wasn't a huge loss for me. Recorders are much easier to hide though than a camera and tripod.

Andy Auffrey How expensive was the camera? The audio record still give me a heart attack placing.
