Frugal Foiling! FOIL without a laminator & toner printer!
Today I will show you how to use adhesive sheets and tape from our sponsor Craft Chameleon (formally Punch Place Plus) to create awesome foiled effects, you can get the adhesive sheets and rolls here: www.punchplaceplus.com/
Supplies: Adhesive sheets & Tape: www.punchplaceplus.com/categor... (rolls start at $2.50 and a 5 pack of sheets is only $5)
Cardstock
Foil and gold leaf (glitter, embossing powder, microbeads and flock can also be used!)
Die cut machine or xacto knife/scissors if you want to hand cut your designs.
Directions:
1. Cut a design from a sheet of adhesive.
2. Remove the backing and press on cardstock. Remove the other backing paper.
3. Press foil shiny side up on adhesive.
4. Remove the excess foal backing. If using metal leafing remove the excess and save it for another project.
Try this with glitter, beads, flock and more, it is such a fun technique!

Absolutely wonderful! Been looking for a way to do this without having to use heat laminating. I love the way using the tape and sheets work. I have a very small crafting area to work in and I don't really want extra equipment that only does pretty much only one thing. I love your crafting ideas. So glad I found your videos. Thank you for sharing. ❤️👏🏻❤️

Also glad to know the Mink rolls can be used without the Mink or laminator cuze I refuse to buy more equipment. But did notice JoAnns still has jars of flakes for sell & can use coupons there for extra savings. Yippee!! Thanks for the daily lesson! Hope you feel better soon. Since you are the frugal crafter, I thought you would like this idea. I saw on a KZread video that some people were making toner paint so they wouldn’t have to use their printer. I made toner paint with one tablespoon of PPA glue and 5 little scoops of toner on the end of a popsicle stick. I stirred it really well and painted it on a sheet of cardstock. I cut out shapes for foiling. I found out you can use that toner paint for stamping and foiling!! It works perfectly. It also washes right off the stamps and doesn’t stain them. Make a video about that! You will love it!

Now I can look for reasonably priced foil and even look for faux gold/silver leaf. Thanks so much for showing us how to do this.I've got a frugal question for you...over the Christmas holidays I used a lot of tea lights so now have loads of the little metallic holders the wax is poured into. Any ideas if they can be used in a crafty way??Bejay x

I had a huge box left over after those days were done (and before I got into papercrafting 11 yrs ago) I think they went to a donation place. jeez, who knew it would 'come back' on paper?! heeheehee ;) I probably donated them about 15 years ago :0

Thanks Lindsay, Since I'm posting this to an older video I guess most people won't see this but in case they look up foiling like I did then maybe someone will. I knew there was a way to do this without buying another machine, lol. I also knew that you probably had a video on it, so glad my instinct was right. Love, love all your videos. BTW, I made the geli plate without the alcohol, still looks and works great! I know you like saving money and most of all saving us money, so I just wanted to remind everyone to check out ebay before they order stuff, just to check prices. I have a Scan-n-cut 2 my husband got me for Christmas last year and I love it so much. Did you ever get one? You would love it, not only can you cut out stamped images but you can scan in anything (within reason of course), including your own handwriting (or your children's), make your own custom stamps and adjust the size of anything. Sorry, I'm rambling, but even though I love it I still wanted a Cuttlebug for gorgeous dies like Anna Griffin's and quick die cuts, I didn't need the little extra space the big shot had, the convenience of it being so small that I can keep it on my work table works best for me for quick die cutting. The best deals I found were on eBay, brand new and included lots of goodies that other stores didn't, including products from Anna Griffin and a magnetic mat. That's just one example, I save tons on Distress inks too. Thanks again Lindsay for all your tricks and tips, and for your informative, cheery, and funny videos.
