I think alot of older generation people who saw this movie thought that. I instantly thought of the band Chicago. Turn out, if you look it up, that was 100% what they were going for. Even Groff who was given the music to sing was like.. really? You're going for an 80s Power Ballad? And it totally worked.

I avoided listening to the soundtrack (and this cover) till I saw the movie, so I could experience the songs for the first time in the movie. Saw it last night and loved it, so now I can listen to this and it's beautiful! Gotta love '80s power ballads. 😃 If you could pretty please do "Show Yourself" or "Into the Unknown" at some point?

Good call doing that. The first time I heard ANY of these songs was when I went to the movie and it really blew me away BECAUSE I hadn't heard them first.. particularly this song which had me smiling (a child for the 80s). If this song was released as a single in the 80s... Top of the Billboard Charts for sure.

I hadn't heard this song yet, but it speaks to me so much right now and now I'm listening on repeat. Also I absolutely LOVE 80s ballads. Some parts of this remind me of Peter Cetera's "Glory of Love" and I'm totally digging it. You're amazing, Chase!
