Path of Arthas will be available for 2K gold, which I think is a really good deal seeing how dummy broken they seem to be and dk offers a great variety of decks with the rune system

I like their way of just translating the spells from WoW to a card format. Like Horn of Winter refreshing your mana, while in-game it'll refresh your resource (runes and runic power). Or Howling Blast and Remorseless Winter being AoE, although in this case the latter has a freeze component in game and not Blast.

Except you guys only seem to notice it when it's positive, not the hundreds examples where they horribly fail to recreate the spell or give a legendary abilities that don't fit and it never had in game (marrowgar as example)

@@Luca48882 Well obviously it can't always be translated, there has to be some creative freedom to it. Not to mention that it's a card game and should be balanced as such. I was just saying it's cool that they sometimes directly translate some spells or known characters.

@@xRichhhx There are hundreds of wow characters, in my example marrogar has 0 to do with corpses, rush or buffs. They could have just picked a different boss or icecrown elite/quest target, nobody asked them to waste one of the most memed bosses on such an uninspired effect. The creativity part comes when it's clear you're trying to adapt a mechanic, like for example, I'm not going to complain about the dmg % on the single target and the aoe on blast, or invincible, since it had 0 abilities other than wings (and guess what, they sticked with the mare theme and no hint of one of its most iconic traits). It's not like they can't create characters if needed, since it's common practice already. The fact that you find it cool and not pretend they did at least 10% of what is asked of them is the problem, you're giving props to something that HAS to be that way. In magic, people go as far as complaining if an enchantment is of physical nature in the name/image, since if it was it'd have to be an artifact or equipment.

You know what I really don’t get? Why do they care about everything a DK can do in WoW when designing this class? Depending on the expansion, each class does something that I would assume is related to its identity. For instance, in some expansions a priest might get more shadow cards, and in others get more holy cards. Won’t this design make any given DK predictable because they can only design so many cards each set?

I think Thassarian will be featured more in an unholy minion focused deck, rather than a frost burn deck.

I think it's interesting that in future expansions we might even see cards with multi rune requirements. eg: 1 red 1 green. They'd be pretty limiting though, so doubt we'd see too many of them, but it would be an interesting way to encourage a particular playstyle without buffing an existing playstyle

From this point on, DK will have the same amount of cards in each expansion as any other class. They just have a bigger core set and a class-specific miniset to make up for lacking 5 expansions.

2 Questions about DKs 1.Does the opponent see what Runes you have at the start of the game? 2. How does DK/Runes work in Arena?

1. no 2. It will base your runes off of your first few picks. You’ll get offered any combinations initially but as you pick more cards it will narrow down by itself.

Really feels like their just taking staple cards from other classes and making them better. I pray to God this isn't just Demon Hunter all over again.

Yeah, it’s kind of a difficult line to walk. They simply can’t introduce a new class that is below average. That creates zero hype. But you don’t wanna piss off the existing player base by making one class clearly stronger than everything else. Demon Hunter, while oppressive, is now a kind of “meh” class. And that’s how HS has always worked anyways. Remember how Hunter would consistently suck and then a specific set of cards would be released and it would represent 50% of all players you cue into? HS, the game of extremes.

Marrow Manipulator may just be used in a burst/tempo deck where they just play it on an empty enemy board to hit for 10 damage, twice coz you have two of them.

Rimefang Sword seems unimpressive EXCEPT if you curve it off Runeforging I think it'll be nuts

All depends on the power level from the rest of the set for other classes. I don't see frost being too OP at all. Chip damage is easily mitigated by armor and healing over the course of the game. I agree with Trump that frost is gonna be a tempo mage-ish deck that just tries to keep pressure on and get you to a life total that can burst you. Will that be good? Idk. But the frost cards do seem decent and will be good inclusions into other deathknight decks.

It’s just on the official HS sight. Their card library is up to date with all revealed cards and it has a deck builder built in.

You can even use the 2 mana deal 3 damage and discover a frost rune card on the frost copy legendary to avoid it getting silenced against control decks! Sounds like a pretty cool deck to try and build

I wonder which dk rune will have a win condition with only 2 runes.. maybe 1 unholy 2 blood while running sire denathrius

Repulsive Gargantuan doesn't seem bad tho. Useful in a Priest meta to disrupt their inexpensive heals & heal based abilities/board clears. It's a rather specialized card but countering a Reno or other clutch heals after you've expended your dmg dealing spells could be rather handy to finish them off with a weapon or other minions.

I'm really surprised how Trump just completely dismissed the Gargantuan as trash while in another videos describing how he's gonna go for the Blood DK dream of healing 59 with Reno. Imagine the D E S P A I R when his heal 59 gets countered by gargantuan and loses because he can't heal.

its.... pretty bad. priest can get rid of it pretty easily, and its so expensive. Its the same stats as water elemental, which never sees play because it sucks. I guarantee you it won't see play in meta decks.

I can agree it won't be meta but I wouldn't consider it trash. If at least not to the degree Trump mentioned. In some rare situations it may even negate Sire Denathrius' lifesteal when it survives on board. Again niche but if enough lifesteal or heal minions/spells exist then this could sneak it's way in to aggressive decks that want to ensure you can't heal until you've dealt with it.

Do other classes discover corpse cards but cant have corpses?

I think if there is a strong way to go minion aggro frost, marrow manipulator can top that out quite well. Press agro till turn 6, slap this and either win or fizzle.

I think this shows the power and utility of the runes. Because with marrow manipulator in your deck you loose out on all the unholy cards that would make her more consistent. I think the card will find a niche somewhere, most likely with some hearty neutral support, but if the card was a F or FF card it would be far more concerning.

The 3 blood spell is known. It's the Vampiric one that gives you 5 bonus health or 10 bonus health and a card if you spend the corpses. Honestly seems like a very exciting card imo. Maybe if there's some cool neutrals or other cards revealed you could get several copies and have 60+ HP which sounds sick

Yes, all these cards are coming in December, and more as well! Over 140 new cards are being added. If you are asking if they will be 'core' cards in the class (given to you for free at the beginning) then I am not sure. Some of them will be, but some of them will come from opening packs. I don't personally know which cards are which, but that information is probably available on the hearthstone website if I had to guess. Hope this helps!

@@Arcticp75 I am referring to the books that were published by Trump, the ones that are not yet published on the official website, that is why I asked this, I know that most of them will come, I referred strictly to certain books that I it seems incredibly attractive, what you can fuse at the moment, besides that, I saw another aspect that shocked me, a new portrait for the death knight class, more precisely the signature cards that on the website specify that we can get them in the standard packages, but there are quite small chances to receive them, it's like the diamond ones, only in this case they are signature cards like the gold ones, so the chances are the majority, they can be small or large, it depends on the drop itself, when in general, it is the week with a big drop, then the chances are 80% that you will like it, this class has 4 types of cards with 4 heroes each, and the advantages are extremely apotheotic, and they are much smarter than how you can fuse on the mage , rogue, warlock, and shaman this death knight class is how many of these 4 together!!

@@Arcticp75 and this is just the beginning of this new hero, and this new book class, you will be far above the training level of the book class as it was for demon hunter, this has an unexpected bonus to infuse much better in critical situations, you at your disposal a filter that collects corpses, so you have a good chance of not losing the fight, having this advantage, because demon hunter, has major class affinities face to face, has no defense on the ground, he is specialized like rogue and mage, otherwise for fight duration is poor!!

Is it me or most DK cards are feeling a bit... On the weak side? Especially compared to Demon Hunter.

Wtf since when is a 3/6 for 4 mana not durable? There are multiple classes that literally can't remove it without either minion combat or trading 2-3 cards to remove it. A 3 for 1 is excellent, that's a huge resource advantage. And since you have lots of freezes, if they'd need minion combat to remove it, it's basically immortal

They make deck building way too straight forward and then you just play a card every turn. Everything in this game is predetermined and makes it not a good game
