Frontside Stall (and my biggest slam yet - demonstrating the value of a helmet)

How to Frontside Stall on Coping with Inline Skates. Also (for good measure) an example of how NOT to do the trick. Thank G-d I was wearing my helmet.

That was a hard fall. I do this trick often. You taught me something new about not bringing my chest past the couping to land front side stalls more consistently

I love to hear that my video helped you!
Sometimes getting a fall out the way is the best thing, you get to know the worst possible outcome so you go at it more confidently instead of holding back cos of fear
Duude. Thanks to you i got myself a helmet and also i did this trick today by following your tips. Thank you.

That is great to hear. Thank you. I haven’t released a video in a while, but I am working on some new stuff. I hope you continue to find value in this channel.
Totally agree it’s often best to hear it from someone who just learned. Bravo. Looking good too. #upgradeyourgreymatter

You know, I have to give some credit to the camera for motivating me. The way I just popped right up, kept skating, and even landed my trick afterwards despite my fear? Yeah, I was playing cool for the camera. I’m pretty sure that I would have called it a day if not for that, lol.
Respect bro, I would rather do a 180 back instead of that scary ass fakie. But this motivates me to overcome that fear one day. Greets from Holland.
That was a great fall, but greatest your entusiasm! roller blading hurts when you fail so you have to be brave, AND YOUR ARE BRAVE DUDE!
great job bro! I am getting back to skating after 22 years. Your videos area helping me tremendously and motivating me even more. Thank you.
Thank you! That was super motivating. Subscribed!
I really admire your dedication to the sport, keep up the good work!
that was a very hard fall! good for you that you got up, faced your fear and did it! that was very important. ... i really like your channel. i just started inline skating at age 41 and i can learn a lot from you and your videos. thanks and greetings from vienna/austria. ❤️
Great job on that stall man
Awesome video bro! Love your content and the beginner blading perspective and journey you offer! And THANK GOD FOR HELMETS!! Keep up the work man!! New sub right here bro!! I will be uploading aggressive and free skate content this month myself. Keep the videos coming bro!!💯🔥
AEON BROTHER💪🏻💪🏻keep at it sir you are gonna go on to teach a few I can see already
I feel you 👍 well done 💪
good job!
Bro! The fall... yikes. I recently learned to do this and I find looking over the shoulder (not under) to see where you are going helps to put your weight back. I also imagine that my blades are actually paint brushes and I'm the karate kid painting a fence. Up... down Daniel son! Seriously. Love the content so far bro. Stay safe and keep skating!

I Following just because you took that fall like a champ. Hope you all right?
Learning from you bro 🙏🏼
Oh my goodness... the thing you said about the line being coping and to keep your chest behind the coping really made this click in my head, I've been trying this for days and I have been popping out of the bowl each time. I am totally trying again tomorrow morning! Thanks for putting your process out there brother. Also, super glad you're okay that was a terrible fall.. if you had no helmet this video would have been on LiveLeak, not the tube

@@baertheblader9402 I did it! Thanks for remembering! I just posted a quick video of the first one I landed that day! Your chest behind the line tip helped me get over my overshooting the coping. My next hurdle became the fear of letting gravity take me backwards off the coping naturally. I intrinsically kept trying to jump off the ramp a bit as I went down but it caused me to fall forwards like the first attempt in my video. Once I got over the fear of rolling backward using gravity it was very success! The next goal is backside stalls!

Nice tzitzit, gotta protect your keppie
I’m going to try this
Yes I am not the only beginner! I knew it, there is probably at least 5 other guys that decided to learn aggressive inline skates and not skateboarding :)

At least.
I just finished the frontline stall and I m already capable of turning 180 back in the bowl. But yes, the fakie drop in is always tricky and scissoring the legs is mandatory, at least in the beginning.
Grato irmão por tamanha generosidade! 🇧🇷🤙👏👏👏
Great video and explanation though. I will try that one next time. Yikes on the fall, hopefully you didn’t hurt yourself to much. Good thing you had a helmet on.

Yess!! Especially if you are a beginner. Please wear your helmets!!
I fall exactly same way, but unfortunately partially broken ligament in me knee during fall. Anyway great toturial ;)
Seeing a fall like that makes me want to strap a thick pillow on my back to cushion my falls.

I did replace that helmet right after this with a really nice, thick one from S1. It admittedly shook me up pretty good. If I didn’t have the pressure of making the video, I don’t know if I would have gotten back up and landed the trick right after, but I am glad I did. I haven’t skated in over a year now due to knee issues and then the summer heat, but suddenly these video are getting comments again and I am thinking of getting out there again.
100%. That is the most common head injury in roller blading. Falling backwards and whiplashing your head on the ground. I have been skating for a long time and recently got back into it. I don't touch transitions without a helmet, especially concrete ones :)

I have wide feet. Lengthwise, I am probably closer to an 11 US Men’s, but I generally wear 11.5. My skates are the 11-12 shell Aeons with Reign V3 liners.

Yes, it can be. That’s why I never skate without my pads. My new helmet is also much better than the one I’m wearing in this video. I now use S1. It’s just way more padded.

Thanks. I’m doing good. I bought myself an S1 helmet after this which you can see in my later videos. It’s a lot bulkier, but it is certified for multiple uses. I was lucky that I did not get a concussion or anything considering this was a non-certified helmet. Just a bit dazed.
Honestly only someone that cant fall and has the flexibility of a t rex would’ve fallen like that fall on your skates and slide down on them dont try and put your feet down it aint a staircase

Au contraire, I very much CAN fall. I do it all the time 😉. In fact, my T-Rex flexibility only aids me in achieving some of my most spectacular falls. Thanks for the feedback 😃👍.

@@zelt22 Hey, that’s ok. I know several skaters just like you who love doing the same trick over and over until it’s just right. Other skaters like to learn new tricks every session. Everyone has their own approach. Keep at it, and I am sure more tricks will come. I wouldn’t worry about it too much as long as you are out there having fun. Inline skating is a visual sport after all, so style can be just as important as technical skill. If you don’t mind me asking, which grind is it that you like to do?
