Thank you, and I promise it's still coming! I keep trying to get it finished up, but haven't made it up to Kansas City much and repairs like this one and a differential bearing change out keep getting in the way. Thanks for your patience!

Hey I just had a quick question regarding mercury’s inserts now hub system for there props. I have a motor I bought and it’s has the new hub style prop on it the prop has a small amount of play forward and backwards is that normal with this hub system? And yes the prop was torqued to specifications. Thanks

Hi, I believe the new system you're talking about is the flo-torq hub system is that correct? There shouldn't be any play forwards and back on it when it's installed. The only thing I can think of is check to make sure you have the thrust washer that goes behind the prop in place and that it's the correct one. Otherwise it's possible the plastic hub itself is damaged. I'm not an expert on these, so there could be other things I don't know about. Good luck!

@@TheAfterWorkGarage thanks so much I’ll take a look yeah it’s the flo torque system . I was wondering because I have props that also go on the same motor before flo torque and they have no play I’ll take a look thanks!!! Appreciate it

this is just hub replacement not bearings

True! But unfortunately they sell the whole thing as a unit, and the bearings are sealed inside the hub. I have actually since done the rear axle and differential bearings on this truck (the diff bearings needed it, did the axle bearings because they were there). Thankfully they don't make you buy the whole rear end when you need bearings there haha.
