Honestly I think you guys should learn how to knit/crochet for the life skill. I find it very calming and soothing even though it's a "grandma" hobby. It's fun being able to make something, especially seeing the results!

Annie: learning about the structure of her local gov't more? (school boards, board of supervisors, city) how that all fits together. Or learning about a specific local issue that she may not have researched before. Khalyla: learning how electricity works and how it powers things(alternating current vs direct current)
