Can you have 2nd gen door handle with the microswitches in the back and the newer (2017 and up?) upgrade kit with the position sensor style handle in the front? Tesla was telling me they use the same wiring harness.

Can you please help me or give me advice ... I have a Tesla model S 2014, 3 doorhandels is 2.5 version and 1 is 3.0 version. They all works but i can't make them to auto-present when key is close ? Also when i press on handel's, only this 1 version 3.0 going up (present). Key battery's are new. When im press on the key (lock and unlock) everything work's perfect. Thank you so much !!!

The magnetic sensor has a collar you twist half a turn to remove, under you find couple of j-hooks that you need to separate out at the same time pull it back from the rod... the rod comes out the same way as the sensor are located, no need to cut in the plastic..

I disagree about pulling the rod out from the sensor end. One has to pull the rod all the way out going in that direction. That would mean the springs fly off and creates more problems for me than its worth. Going the other way (cutting the plastic) I only have to pull the rod past the first hinge to get to the paddle gear. Happy to discuss further as I have much to learn.

I have an extra wire on my door I cannot find where to plug it in - can you show the wire connections to the door panel ? That would be helpful.

As it turns out. There is an extra wire that goes to nothing.

I wish you didn't go fast super motion on the removal of parts as that was why I was watching the video. Saying what size Torq bits you used would also be nice. Still worth a Thumbs up.
