they put plastic parts all around the car so when its driven on the street no one will see the original shape. Thats why it looks so weird. The chassis looks way different underneath ;)

the the production looks terrible, I loved the look of this soooo much. Rewatching this video they talk about the vision like its what they are selling, nothing here in the design and "b pillar" and led front its all so gross.

I feel like these cars are now catching up to the “futuristic” cars I’d see in movies

This is one of the most exciting concepts ever. Plus it's the most futuristic and luxury one. I wonder why the production car will look different, when this is how the design just has to be. It is a perfect design for a brand that stands for luxury and technology, that is Mercedes Benz.

@vthtti Well its only a concept. Steering wheels have to be round to be street legal (need to be able to maneuver at every angle)

@@owneddiagonal Exactly,this design looks cool but,in emergency situations it's gonna be a double trouble..,imagine swirling due to...well...something,and the car suddenly losses control while you were crusing with one hand on the steering not even putting your hand properly on it,then suddenly you have to take back control...that's when a round,reachable from all angle full circulation control over the wheel type of steering comes in handy.

The concept model is superb externally - why did they stick an S Class front valance on the production car…and the back looks like something from the ‘entry level’ Mercedes cars.

I wish the real car had this shape.

What an absolutely beautiful car, I truly hope we can see the VISION EQS on the roads sometime in the future. I would most definitely buy!

Actually the EQS is scheduled for next year (2021). So even if they miss their schedule (which they shouldn't because they're an experienced company), it's definitely not 20 years.

Ihr könnt den doch genau so verkaufen??? So viele Leute würden den EQS kaufen. Es gibt nichts wirklich nichts vergleichbares und bis die andern firmen auf einem Level sind dauert es locker noch 3 Jahre. Zudem würdet ihr das Automobil im ganzen 10 Jahre nach vorne katapultieren. Habt ihr auch schon über ein Wasserstoff Vision Car nachgedacht?

The first car in the vid was the best car in the vid. Benz needs to go back to their roots. Peak in design and quality was the 80's and early 90's but the really old iron was cool too. A "retro" styled car to mimic that pontoon fendered classic would be a good direction too.

This I beleieve is the EQS we all wanted.

I was ready to make the jump from my Tesla to this ASAP...until I saw what the production model looked like. I guess the people willing to spend north of $100k prefer more conservative design choices. You will always get quality from Merc, but please bring the design back to this level to reflect the amazing quality of the vehicle.

As a BMW fan - Its amazing, honestly.

Mr. benz probably like:(look at the car) what's this? Chassis too low and no bumper, No door handlebar and how can people get in? and where's air intake? Production version ended up being ugly

The shape of the EQS looks amazing. I'm pretty sure, that it will be a success. Please make a Shooting Brake version of it 🙏🏼🙏🏼😍. It will looks stunning!! The body offers itself 😋.

I get the sense that they were trying to make driving fun again with the Vision EQS. Mercedes wants people to go from saying, "I guess I have to drive out there again" 😩, to "I get to go out and drive again!"😁 Mercedes is successfully building excitement for what's to come.

Dream is dead. Should have kept the futuristic exterior design. Now it looks like a regular sedan. Heck the steering wheel didn’t even make it.

The EQS is disappointing to be honest when I saw the concept car a year ago I fell in love with it and wanted it no matter what but now that it’s out its disappointing, they downgraded the design and it costs over 100k and I’m totally put off it. If Audi makes the new A6 e-tron the way it is count me in.

It's really nice to see that there is first a “vision” and then the production car. You can also see 2 cars although only one comes out at the end. hopefully it was really nice and expensive.

I drove an S class, owned an S class, dreamed as a kid and drawn an S class my father and grandfather had driven or owned S classes, this is the next step of future. I wonder how the Maybach trim will be? Its amazing Herzlichen dank. Ich bin stolz, dass ich Mercedes Benz erfahren kann.

@J Knox The s class isn't a nice sports car either. The people who own a RR as their daily want no compromise. The RR is just pure luxury and comfortable drive quality, if they want it more sporty, they just switch to a portofino of GTC4 lusso. And talking about SUVs, the cullinan is literally the most luxurious SUV out there while the bentayga is just a VW Tuareg with a nicer interior.

Gordon speaks English wells with that favorable slight German accent . The Vision EQS looks really sleek with the lovely rose gold touches . I wouldn't mind Wagner presenting more videos .
