From TRASH to GLAM!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This week we take this buffet that was headed for the trash and give it a complete makeover with Chalk Paint and a raised stencil! With the help of some gold (of course) to glam it up, I will take you through all the steps it took to bring this buffet back to life. Let me know what you think in the comments!

I think it was well worth putting the work into!! It's nice to see pieces that need a little extra love instead of just change the paint color and done. I love that this video taught me how to fix that broken corner. My husband and I had just decided to try our hand at furniture flipping and had picked up 6 larger and several smaller pieces to refurbish and see if we could actually flip them for a profit.Sadly he passed so unexpectedly before even one piece was started. He was the Master Carpenter and I have the creative painting gift. At retirement we were to combine our skills and try a new business. So now I need to learn fixes like this one so that hopefully I can carry out our retirement dream alone. For that reason alone I very much appreciated this video. Thank you!!

@ Mary Smith I wish you the best of luck. I was in a similar situation at a very young age. I didn't have the self confidence I have now 50 yrs later. You can do this. KZread is a wonderful resource. Anything you need to learn is here. Wish I had such wonderful resources 50 yrs ago. Who knows where I'd be now. I might be repairing sails in Costa Rica. Our plan was to do fiberglass boat repairs and I would do sail repairs. Once our boat was paid off. Then we planned to retire early.

Taking a piece of furniture that would've been headed for some secondand store (at best) and turning it into an elegant masterpiece, while enjoying the process - that's pure magic! 🌟 I also loved hearing you say, "It may not be the right way, but it's my way and it works"! Having a solid base of knowledge, following your instincts, and taking well-deserved pride in your work are the things that make your videos such a joy to watch. Best of luck to you! ❤😍💖👍

I don't know if it was worth the money and time you put into it, but I do know that you kept a piece of furniture from going to the lanfill and from that standpoint it is worth everything, Maybe you wont make a lot on this piece, but you will give maybe a college student or a young person decorating their first apartment a piece that will bring them joy to create happy memories with that maybe they would not have been able to afford otherwise. Thanks for all your trash to glam videos, I have learned so much from you! Have a great day.

I've watched a few of your videos and I'm so impressed with your talent for refinishing these pieces! They are beautiful! I also just noticed that you are in Waterville, ME! I lived there as a toddler in the 50s and my younger brother was born at Thayer Hospital. I still remember living there!
